Hi all,

I am interested in finding non-violent adventure games which have some kind of higher spiritual message to them.

If anyone can help me in this quest, I would greatly appreciate it.

Peace Heart

Hard to say exactly, I was tempted to say Full Throttle as it has a great ending but that does include violence and I’d say isn’t really ‘spiritual’.

Do you have an example of another game in which you feel it does hit this mark?

I’d lean towards Loom and To the Moon, but an example of what exactly you’re looking for could be useful here.

Here‘s a game you’re looking for, if your eyes can bear its graphics.

There are a few that come to mind, and I’m sure more will come up later.

Syberia
The Whispered World
Callahan’s Crosstime Saloon
The Inner World
SOMA
Gone Home
Anacapri: The Dream
The Witness

Yes! Sorry!

Two I have played recently were “The Gardens Between” and “The Sexy Brutale”.

Thankyou for the recommendations so far, however I must emphasize the non-violent part is important to me.

Another Code

And I’d suggest The Cat Lady as well, but that’s pretty violent, so it’s a no-go…

The Sexy Brutale is about the murders of all of the guests and I’m not sure it had any higher spiritual meaning. Do you mean games with no action fighting sequences? Or QTEs.

What I thought was a very good classic point and click adventure with a lot of humor was Heaven’s Hope. Another is Perils of Man.

Riven and other games in the Myst universe, Quern, Voyage, Botanicula. Oh, and Dropsy, of course! The most spiritual adventure out there.

Perhaps Alum would fit the bill.

Did you miss the ending? It wasn’t about murders at all.

Another similar game that comes to mind is Untold Stories, where the story comes together in the end to a higher meaning. How uplifting it is for you would be very individual, but I found it touching.

Yes, I did miss the ending because I own it but haven’t played it. I was going by the game description.

10 unique and grisly murder scenarios
- Witness evisceration by arachnid! (highly creepy!)
- Observe expiration via immolation! (they burn!)
- Behold perishing through perforation! (the spike goes right through!)
...and so many more murderous mysteries to solve!

Oh, darn! If it’s not about murder, maybe I don’t want to play it!

i try remember an adventure with spiritual msg something that equals kinda msg whether uplifting or not to BladeRunner and i am stumped, first, serious adventures first of all in the genre aint enough, and i always stump against MI’s similarities; fun stories, but there are much fun uplifting adventures all over (i.e) The Night of the Rabbit or King Quest V… ? (non-violent all the same)

if this is not that, then there aren’t…..

I DID NOT WANT TO KNOW THAT!
AND NOW I CAN NEVER UNKNOW IT!

I realize that asking people to stop posting spoilers is totally useless, they will do as they please and usually ignore or even resent my requests. This isn’t the first game you spoiled for me.

There’s no stopping you.
