Roberta Williams, Christy Marx, Jane Jensen and Kim Swift, four developers were chosen outta the ten most influential women in games development at this PC-Magazine-Article, plus Sheri Graner Ray (Ultima) if you wanna count her in too.

Amazing victory for adventure gaming over all the other genres, when we have four legendary women names like those, whom will always be remembered and honored!.

edit:nevermind the title

Yep! One of the best games released last year was The St Christopher’s School Lockdown!

Lori Cole, Lorelei Shannon, Muriel Tramis - the list of female Sierra employees could be expanded way further. Guess nobody was oppressed during the golden age of adventure games.

It’s a shame Marx didn’t design more adventure games. Conquest of Camelot and Longbown are among the most interesting titles Sierra released.

She wasn’t alone. The first real graphic adventure (Below the Root) was written by Zilpha Keatley Snyder. Tramis also started making games for Coktel Vision somewhere in the mid-1980s, and so did the Woodroffe family of Simon the Sorcerer fame. Infocom had Amy Briggs, all Zork games by Activison were written/designed by women… People today are just too easily manipulated and don’t bother researching things.
