I think this site will also cover the demo as its open to public at Gamescom
Unless they are banking on the popularity of the TV show drawing in fans.
There was a TV show?
I highly recommend checking out a couple of episodes if you like TV at all. They’re all self-contained episodes so you can pick whichever ones you like to test. Some of the best television I’ve ever watched and all on Netflix.
Maybe some on here will share their favourites if you’re interested.
It looks like people are already starting to confuse the new game with the show.

Wishing the team and company the best of course, but I really didn’t care at all for the second part of the trilogy (that this team seems to have created). I consider the first one to be a minor classic in the genre and the third one was pretty good. This is the first time I hear that different people (albeit the same studio) created the last two games. Even thoúgh the last one storywise is a seamless continuation of the second game they are like two completely different games qualitywise imo.
Different protagonist, no relationship to the previous BM games.
Actually… It does. You remember what set off this whole thing? In the first game, it starts with the death of William Gordon. Now we get the change to play his story, earlier. As David William Gordon. He’s the same guy.
Can’t wait!

First part is sure a classic, 2nd part also quite well and 3rd was also picked well but in my opinion first part has nothing came closer to.
Looking forward toward this release and hope they hire majority of members from the original game team i.e. from Future Games.
Good to know that KING Art is doing this. I trust their production values!
Playing: 1) Broken Sword 5 2) Road 96

Atmosphere is coming out well on new engine
I cannot wait for this to be released! The demo looks great.
thanks nomad for the headups, yea, wished they shut up just for a min a least!
Since gamerscon we have seen no more update nor any additional footage / videos of gameplay.
I am eagerly awaiting for new update now and also hoping for announcemnt of any Collector’s or Limited edition.
Not exactly new but was looking for new media and saw the legthy gameplay part without commentary:
Gameplay wise it looks like Dreamfall Chapters, which is fine by me. There’s something off-putting about the character models though, especially about their skin texturing and shaders, which look waxy and low resolution. The animation wasn’t very convincing either.
But at least this time around the game sounds like it has batter voiced cast.
I’m very curious about this. Can’t really say yet whether I’m really excited (may wait for the reviews and whatnot); but that eerie-yet-homely-haunted-house-ish atmosphere of the original game - and memories of playing it on (in my mind’s eye, often) rainy days on a desktop PC with a boxy old monitor - have resounded as the years have gone by.
Never played the other two games; maybe I should check them out.
I used to love doing impressions of Samuel Gordon’s voice as well. It was one of my favourite references to make simply because of my glee at how absurdly obscure a reference it is to make.

Game copies are released some parts of the world. Also some reviewers got early review copies.
Looking forward for their views and reviews.
