Not many epic scifi movies non-Marvel or Star Wars doing good business.

Avatar? Wink

Hence the “not many” Smile, but Avatar is a Cameron glitch!

Speaking of Star Wars, Lcasfilm/Disney kicked out the directors of the Han Solo - Phil Lord and Christopher Miller - 4 months into filming and are replacing them with Ron Howard… Talk about hype dying down for a movie…
Seems like another Edgar Writght in Ant-Man where the director didn’t fit the Disney mold.

But Ant-Man still turned out ok, and frankly, you can do a lot worse than Ron Howard. Don’t lose all hope…

Don’t how much Ron Howard is going to add to it, could be worse, could have been Brett Ratner Smile
Seems like Rogue One also had the same problem with Tony Gilroy coming in dor reshots but Gareth Edwards didn’t jump ship. R1 did turn out good and I’m sure this one will also I’m stil disappointed

Well, it looks like it’s going to be a good action movie, Wilco, but I’m not holding my breath that it’ll be much like the books.

While the casting seems good I think it looks generic, imo, should have been an adaptation of first book, it would be darker and smaller scope but also smaller budget and easier to be profitable and let the movie series grow. That gunslinger quote of “I do not kill with the gun” while makes sense for book fans, I don’t think it fits the trailer at all.

But I’m not very knowledgeable about the series, waiting for Advie’s take on the trailer.

Technically the movie is a sequel to the books.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

That gunslinger quote of “I do not kill with the gun”

that never comes up until book3, when he was training two other sidekicks/heroes with him along the journey, and going to our world leaving the Gunslingers never comes until book 2, also drawing Jack to the Gunslinger world “details” is never brought up until book3 (now Jack is taking too many roles even a role that is out side the Dark Tower Series but from The book Insomnia that is still connected to the tower, like Randal Flagg of The stand he is the man in black too..

as i said before the trailers gives the feeling of the adaptation of the first 3 vols all together… but with many different representations and interpretations .

BR trailer looks like a parody and too much like GiTS movie than original
I think people will forget it after a year
