Debating between purchasing I have no mouth and I must Scream, Resonance and Atlantis. What are people’s thoughts?

Buy them all Supplement if you can afford to! as they’re all very good games but very different!
If you just have to choose one it really depends on what you like - I’ve played all 3 games & I guess my favourite would be Resonance.
I’d recommend tremorgames.com - I spent $10 and got about 35 interesting adventure/rpg games. Select PC Games and filter by adventure to get rid of a load of the dross.

After buying 35 games I think I should limit myself to one. Story, characterisation and an interesting world are my general criteria.

Based on your criteria, I agree with chrissie: get Resonance. IHNMAIMS is also good on the characterisation and interesting world criteria but the story/stories are more retrospective (what’s happened to get to this point) rather than classically structured (what will happen?!). Don’t bother with Atlantis.
