The story below contains the titles of 24 games.  The words of each title are in the correct order, but they may have other words, letters, or syllables between them.  Not all titles will have their subtitles, but look carefully to make sure.

Each correct title is worth 10 points, and if you submit all the correct game titles at once, you’ll earn a bonus of 5 points. Your maximum score for this task is 245 points.  An incorrect answer will result in a 1 point deduction from your score.  Submit your answers to me by 11:00 PM GMT on Sunday, April 9.

“Oh no! It’s pouring again, and I have to walk to Kathy’s party in all this rain,” sighed Fran as she tied a hair bow on the end of the black braid that hung down her back.  With a final glance in the mirror, she looked down at her new shoes and sighed again.  She wanted to wear them to dance a wild jig at the party but knew her western-style boots would keep her feet drier.  Despite the rain, she was looking forward to the party adventure, so she turned off the lights and headed out the door in the dark, being careful not to slip and fall on the wet porch stairs.

As she approached her friend’s house a few minutes later, a loud “Heck” tore through the air.  “That word is sooo bad, Geoff!  she laughed as he stepped out of a deep puddle by his car..  “Na,” Geoff said to someone still in the car.  “My life is a mess!  I just ruined my best blue suede shoes, and turned my feet to blocks of ice.”

Three more people got out of the car and hurried to the house.  “Yoo-hoo!” called Fran to Murray, Jake, and Jake’s sister who was sporting a huge diamond ring.  On the porch, Fran said, “Hi, Ana!  How was your trip to Capri?”

“It was paradise, Fran!  I can’t believe the size of the castle.  It took me 5 days to explore the whole place.  I’m no longer a stranger to miles of winding stairs, but what’s a little agony of the feet compared to having carte blanche there for 2 whole weeks.”

Fran rang the bell and at last someone noticed that the front half of house was in darkness.  Suddenly, the porch light came on and a bunch of faces appeared in the windows.  “Eeeek!” screamed Ana.  “G-g-gobl-i-i-ins!” shouted Jake.  “Aliens!” yelled Murray.  “Elvira?” gasped Fran, who backed away from the door clenching her jaws and expecting to see the heads of cerberus coming towards her.

“April Fool!” laughed each creature, taking off masks to reveal Kathy and the other partygoers.  With relief, the foursome went inside to enjoy the crunch of nacho chips and the wonderful arrangement of desserts and drinks.  The cake and the scoop of butter pecan ice cream was delicious.

Players, please note this correction:
A stray game has been identified in the story by one of our players (thanks AFGNCAAP!), so there are 24 games to find instead of 23.  I’ve made the corrections in the directions.

Thanks, DarkEye!

It’s best to send me a PM if you have a specific question about a puzzle, just to avoid giving anything away.

To reiterate, the game titles are all in the correct order.  Also, they do not overlap with other titles in the story.
