Finally things are looking up. 
Quite a few good games. Kheops Studio is going strong with RtMI, and the number of indie developers is growing: MDNA Games, Darkling Room, father and son Savarese. My vote goes to RtMI.

I voted for Syberia II, as I ranked it highest of those I played that year.
That’s a piss-poor “winner”, though. I’m pretty sure there are several games that could beat it should I play them.

With so many worthy games to choose from this year it was difficult to make a choice - I chose the Moment of Silence but another day in a different mood I may have picked something different!
Ahhh! A fantastic year for the lovers of first person games..

My unlisted favorite vote goes to Atlantis 4 but I admit I haven’t played most of the games of this year.
RTMI, without a doubt. That game was a breath of fresh air after half a decade of mediocrity and stagnation.
I have to give Syberia 2 my vote. Although it won by a very slim margin.

Return to Mysterious Island has some very nice inventory puzzles. Imreally enjoyed it most that year.
Return to Mysterious Island reinvented the genre (well, no, but it WAS a breath of fresh air).

And arguably Return to Mysterious Island should win because of its novel use of inventory combination (and re-combination).
But the game I’d want to play the most would be
Uru: Complete Chronicles
so I’m voting for “unlisted favorite”
My choice is Return to Mysterious Island. New clever use of inventory and a nice twist on Jules Verne.
Moment of Silence another good game. On par with RtMI.
Aura 1 good as well. A surprise.
Syberia 2. Didn’t love it though.
Voted for Dark Fall 2. Looking at the choices, this is possibly the worst year in adventure history. I wouldn’t rate anything on that list as more than slightly above average.
Moment of Silence would be a strong contender but I have too much love for Myst 4. The writing and acting is the best of the Myst games, the environments are beautiful, varied and imaginative, the puzzles are better integrated and have a great range of style and difficulty. Sorry, MoS.
(Of course I hated Syberia 2 with a passion. All the flaws of the first game magnified, pretty environments but nothing else to recommend it. Can I just ask - did any of the people who liked it try solving the puzzles without a walkthrough? Because identifying a fish based on its colour when it wasn’t even that colour really didn’t work for me, and a trial-and-error puzzle where you have to walk back and forth across six screens between tries?)
I get the impression I may well love RTMI when I get round to playing it.
Return to Mysterious Island, Sherlock Holmes: The Silver Earring, Syberia 2…. A somewhat difficult decision, but I will choose Silver Earring, one of the best games of Sherlock Holmes, much better than the rest that came later.
