That is a lot of conspiracy theories.

And a lot of them will be right. Wink
It’s happened dozens of times in the past, and there’s even more money at stake these days…

Still hope I’m wrong, though.
I want to see Belgium lift the Cup against Germany in the final. Innocent Grin

Erm, you were saying?

10 goals for the Netherlands, 3 against (2 of them penalties that should not be), places us at the top of our group. Not an easy group either. Not bad for a team that only plays good for 15 minutes in a match, Tim Wink

Still wasn’t a good match by the Netherlands, just… terribly efficient. A lackluster Chile couldn’t do anything. Even with two tactical changes (that only got worse, no one was in midfield during the second half!). A disappointing Chile compared to the previous matches.
And Holland really has shown little quality so far, only efficiency (especially in this match). Not something I enjoy watching. But they win, and the players’ confidence is growing (you can hear it in the interviews), so they could get far now.
They’re definitely better than four years ago (at least they have some good moments now), but with the quality in their team, I expect to see better things.

Belgium’s even worse so far, though. The results are there. It’s just nowhere near good enough given the quality in the squad.

In other matches: David Villa’s very last international goal is a real beauty! That pass from Iniesta, that assist, that frivolous finish. Brilliance! Why couldn’t they do that in their previous two matches?

Christ, Cameroon and Brazil are blundering. 0-1 while it should have easily been 1-3 already. Some ridiculous misses already…

Edit: 1-1. Cameroon’s still in the match… Tongue

Brazil are turning on the style! THIS is the football I want to see at the World Cup!

Pornstache Fred just scored the 1-3, and they’re looking like they’ll want at least 3 more… Cool

They are playing Cameroon… Croatia also looked a good offensive team against them. Brazil defense is still looking shaky, I don’t think they will go well against someone with a good offense (like Netherlands or France)

Mexico just got robbed a penalty…

Why is hulk there? He just holds Brazil back. Should be absolutely no place for him in the opening lineup, they always play better without him.

Also, Fernandinho made a huge difference.

Just before Half Time there was a superb series of passes from Neymar etc They were showing off until it was passed to Hulk in the box and he virtually tripped over the ball.

DOH!!

Not when Brazil are now 4-1 up

For the Dutchies: Jan Mulder and Johan Boskamp are regular pundits in our World Cup coverage, and the Mexican coach (in one of those hilarious outbursts) has been compared to Johan Boskamp. The comparison had Boskamp in stitches, but really, there IS a resemblance… Tongue

The commentator just said that when Rafa Marquez was originally chosen to the Mexican national team, in the 90’s, the coach had actually meant to call a different Marquez from the same team. Then when he came to the camp, the coach was just confused as he’d never even seen this guy. But the coach decided to try him out anyways. And “the rest is history”.

No handball in Mexico’s match, 3rd goal of Brazil was super clear offside.
The shit is rigged, Cameroon goalkeeper was a sellout, was hardly moving.
In halftime break whole Cameroon team was bought.

Indeed the event, stakes and magnitude are even more high.

I won’t be surprised if any SouthAmerican team wins.

Todays match gonna be awesome, Suarez vs Italy.
Rooting for his team again.

edit:

What a shit show by both teams, at this rate Italy will make it through.

Italy doing good job fortifying both Suarez and Cavana.
