News items missing in RSS feed?

News items from the past few days seem to be missing from the RSS feed.

Looking at the latest items in the feed:

it has the news post about Bot Colony, the HoM update, but then it jumps to the interview, skipping the two news items about Broken Age and Murder in Tehran’s Alleys.

Is that because they’re just links rather than proper news posts? It’d still be nice if they could be included in the feed, if technically possible.

I don’t know what the logistics are of making that happen, but it’s certainly my hope that all new items will generate an RSS feed, regardless of having an article attached. Just might take a bit to get that sorted out.

The RSS feed will now display entries from the What’s New? column on the AG main page, which includes news items as well as screenshots/video updates and the Hype O Meter.

For notifications of new articles please use http://www.adventuregamers.com/rss/articles

Sorry this isn’t combined into one feed, but our CMS makes it difficult to do this. On the plus side, while there were some issues before regarding RSS updates being pushed out when articles were updated (not posted), these should be gone now (as this was an unresolved bug in our CMS’ combined feed code).

That works fine. Thanks a lot, Marek!

When I directly enter the new RSS feed (http://www.adventuregamers.com/rss/articles) into Firefox’s address bar, I see the following instead of links and such:

1379716543 http://www.adventuregamers.com/ en reece@reece-warrender.co.uk Copyright 2013 2013-09-20 http://www.adventuregamers.com/articles/view/25227 http://www.adventuregamers.com/articles/view/25227#When:22:35:42Z 2013-09-20T22:35+00:00...

Feedbin also complains that it couldn’t find a feed at that URI.

Second, when I visit http://www.adventuregamers.com/articles and click on Firefox’s Subscribe button, the website uses the old feed (http://www.adventuregamers.com/rss) instead of the new one (http://www.adventuregamers.com/rss/articles).

I am having the same issues except the number and the email at the top of http://www.adventuregamers.com/rss/articles are different, and I use feedly rather than Feedbin.

I believe I fixed this now - could you verify? The new URL was still set to HTML file type and not RSS. My RSS reader apparently ignores this but others don’t.

When using Firefox’ subscribe button, if I’m not mistaken it should now ask which feed(s) to subscribe to.

Now it works for me—both directly with the feed and when attempting to subscribe through the AG.com/articles page. Thank you, Marek!

Yes the RSS feeds seem to work well now, thanks.  Sorry for the late reply.
