The RSS feed is broken.  I tried it with Firefox, Internet Explorer, and RSSOwl.  Firefox says:

ML Parsing ErrorXML or text declaration not at start of entity
Location
http://www.adventuregamers.com/rss/
Line Number 1Column 2:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

Ah, so it does.  Thanks much.

Sorry to resume this topic, didn’t want to pollute the forum with other “broken RSS” pages.

So I’ve been using the Adventuregamers RSS feed like forever and with all the blogs and websites I follow, it’s the only organized, unified and quick way to read about things without losing my mind. Unfortunately, the RSS feed suffered quite a bit from the website revamp, I’m wondering whether there are planned fixes or I just have to settle with the current version.

I noticed two main issues:

* No more text description/preview in the RSS items. Posts only come with a (linked) title so we have to visit the website to read the articles themselves. The previous version included a preview of the article, perhaps even the whole article without images if I recall correctly. That was a very welcome and handy feature!

* Repeated posts, e.g., I received four “An FMV Christmas: Season’s Greetings” articles, I guess each refers to some update of the same? Happens quite often.

It would be great to have at least the first issue fixed. Is there any plan?

In any case thanks for the good work and keep it up!

It’ll have to be Marek that fixes this, and unfortunately he’s largely unavailable for the next couple months, so it might be a while until it’s addressed.  The problem’s been noted, however.
