Bio

Ever since I was introduced to the world of King’s Quest 1 in my early youth, I have been a huge fan of adventures. The sensation of being able to completely control the actions of the character, to become absorbed in a world filled with magic and supernatural forces, was new, and very, very appealing to me. As I grew older, adventure games became my most time-consuming hobby, some might even call it an obsession. These were the days before on-line hintbooks, and the only way to get past that darn puzzle was to play for hours and hours to end…

Today, I’m still very much into computers and computer games, and as a member of the Adventure Gamers’ news team, my job is to keep updated on what’s going on in the gaming industry. This way, I am getting the chance to follow the development of new adventure titles closely, and to work with gaming companies, designers, etc. Although my position as News Reporter doesn’t really bring fame, wealth or happiness, it is satisfying to know that my work has not just helped building the strongest news column related to adventure games in the industry, but also the biggest gaming site related to adventure games.

If you ask me to name my favourite adventure game, I wouldn’t have the slightest clue where to begin, although some of my all-time favourite adventures include such masterpieces as the Gabriel Knight series, King’s Quest, The Longest Journey, Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, and Broken Sword .

Adventure gaming is, of course, not my only hobby, and I am completely addicted to music. My taste in music is broad, and I listen to everything from the blackest of metal to electronica and classical. I am also very interested in photography, which I have studied for a year at a Folk Highschool here in Norway. If you wanna take a look, I have posted some of them at this website. Other interests of mine are watching good movies, such as Blade Runner, Donnie Darko, Amores Perros and Lost Highway, or reading a good book or cartoon (illustrated novel).

And, just for the record, I am also a Quake-freak, which I have been since 1996.
