Lighthouse. (Again) I’ll lead
Still Life 1
Still Life 2

I think these would be a great back-to-back playthrough since we’ve already done the Post Mortem preamble.

FWIW, there was a great sale on old Sierra games last week. I remember loving Dagger of Amon Ra. Think it was on sale for $2.99 US. FPFP is out there as well. I’m just tired of nominating second-place games.

Another round of nominations and voting has begun.  Let’s give this two weeks, which seems to be plenty of time for everyone to make their choices.  Voting will end on Sunday, May 26.

I’m still playing Beneath a Steel Sky, but I will offer to lead Tormentum: Dark Sorrow.

Whispers of a Machine (2) - Mike Kelly (leader), Jdawg445

Blade Runner (1) - Jdawg445
Lighthouse (1) - RTRooney (leader)
Still Life (1) - RTRooney
Still Life 2 (1) - RTRooney
Tormentum: Dark Sorrow (1) - Lady Kestrel (leader)
Unavowed (1) - Mike Kelly (leader)

Would it not be funny is WOTM won with 3 votes?

Kinda looking that way.

I’m ready to play if that’s the case!

There have been no new votes in four days. And while I’m not sure about joining the playthrough if the current leader wins, It wouldn’t bother me at all if Lady K pulled the plug and declared Whispers of a Machine the winner.

I will vote for Blade Runner and also nominate Coloratura by Lynnea Glasser. But I don’t remember seeing any interactive fiction playthroughs so I don’t know if that is within the rules.

So, I guess there is a tie. And with the new vote, we wait until the window closes.

I wonder if the low voting levels mean people want something different. Whispers of a Machine and Blade Runner look very similar to the last game Beneath a Steel Sky. I would have suggested a less darker game but I’m not really into that.

What happened to Savoir-Faire which you nominated? Not suitable for a CP?

But I don’t remember seeing any interactive fiction playthroughs
so I don’t know if that is within the rules.

There has been only one IF community playthrough (Thaumistry), but we played seven text adventures together in a different and imo much more interesting and lively way: The leader is the only one who has the game. He/she enters commands suggested by any CP participant and posts the game’s response. So far we’ve completed 7 text adventures this way. Great ones, like Spider and Web. See Timovieman’s thread https://adventuregamers.com/forums/viewthread/2112/

Unfortunately most of the dedicated participants that this type of playthrough needs have left the building.

PS for Timovieman: If you’re reading this, the seventh Text Adventure Tango was Christminster. Bad game. Frown

I didn’t think anyone would notice I changed it Tongue

What happened was that I was searching IFDB (a database I’ve been using lately to find IF) for a cool game, and Coloratura appeared. I always wanted to play Savoir-Faire and I guess I got swayed in the moment!

If others want to play it I am cool with that - if they don’t get voted in I will probably play them on my own anyway Smile

Heh… I went to check Savoir-Faire and when I came back to reply it had disappeared. Smile

PS: I’ve never managed to complete an Emily Short game. There’s nothing wrong with them, they are very clever, just like she is. I loved her blog. But somewhow I can’t connect to her games.
