One more wrong answer and I’ll cede the contest to greater intellects- #5 Tales From The Crypt.

Not Tales From the Crypt. Your Beetlejuice guess was a lot closer.

No need to give up just yet. They’re hard to recognize if you never watched the series they’re from, but hints are coming in future rounds. Wink

@ Lady Kestrel: correct!

As you wish, then:

(00:00) 1.  (well known - 1 pt)
(01:31) 2.  (well known - 1 pt)

Those two are naggingly familiar, but I get the feeling they’re both from shows I don’t care for.  I’m interested to see what they are from.

(03:50) 5.  (obscure - 2 pts - animated)

Third guess is the charm… Invader Zim

Spooks

Warning- People won’t have as much of a sense of humor about you putting an Alka Seltzer in your mouth then staggering into a restaurant while shouting “THE VIRUS HAS MUTATED!” as you’d hope they would.

Consider this: People say “Ewwww!!!” when they hear about a guy having a hairy bum or hairy back, yet every Teddy Bear ever made has had both a hairy bum AND a hairy back and nobody complains about them; In fact, people think Teddy Bears are adorable.

#16: The Animals of Farthing Wood! I loved that show as a kid, knew the theme song almost instantly Smile I watched it all the time, though I’m not sure if I eventually saw it all the way through…

I did know at least two easy ones but I’m in too much a hurry to check which numbers they are right now. I’ll see if no one has guessed them until I have more time later today Tongue Keep it exciting! Grin

Yet again, I’m wrong.  A houseguest smacked me upside the head (but literally, and it was well-deserved) and said “You idiot, that’s the theme from ________!”  Now corrected and properly chastised, I know what #5 is but I don’t feel right listing it since I didn’t recognize it on my own.

@ Lucien21 and UPtimist: all correct!

@ Sage: not Invader Zim, not Spooks. There’s no rule that says you can’t answer when you didn’t guess it yourself. Help from roommates, browsing themes online, whatever works is good, imo.

Ah, ha!  I knew that theme was familiar.  It was used by NBC during the Olympics.

Okay, I guess the guilt I’ll get is worth it.

All correct!

I’m bumping 18 to ‘obscure’ like I originally intended (but was dissuaded from by the many votes it got on IMDb).

Here’s the link again.

(00:00) 1. Deadwood (1 pt) - Lucien21
(01:31) 2.      (well known - 1 pt - British comedy, got an American ‘remake’)
(02:00) 3. Magnum P.I. (2 pts) - Lucien21
(03:00) 4. Monk (1 pt) - UPtimist
(03:50) 5. Dexter’s Lab (2 pts) - Sage
(04:22) 6. The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. (3 pts) - Lady Kestrel
(05:24) 7. Fawlty Towers (2 pts) - UPtimist
(05:46) 8. Battlestar: Galactica (1 pt) - Lady Kestrel
(06:30) 9.      (obscure - 2 pts - song plays during the end credits, 90s series, British nihilistic, violent comedy, a movie was made afterwards)
(07:25) 10. Dexter (1 pt) - Lucien21
(08:22) 11.      (obscure - 2 pts - currently still running, Canadian “CSI meets Sherlock Holmes”-like detective show)
(09:08) 12.      (very obscure - 3 pts - non-English, long-running German detective series featuring a defense attorney and a P.I., similar to ‘Perry Mason’ but with less courtroom scenes)
(09:52) 13. The Sopranos (1 pt) - UPtimist
(11:25) 14. Saint Seiya / The Knights of the Zodiac (3 pts) - Lucien21
(12:24) 15.      (well known - 1 pt - American 00s series, HBO series)
(13:18) 16. The Animals of Farthing Wood (3 pts) - UPtimist
(14:05) 17. Six Feet Under (1 pt) - UPtimist
(15:39) 18.      (obscure - 2 pts - still running British series, several characters have supernatural powers)
(16:23) 19.      (obscure - 2 pts - non-English, Scandinavian horror series, produced by a well-known (somewhat cult) director, got an American ‘remake’)
(17:33) 20. The Prisoner (3 pts) - Lady Kestrel

Standings so far:

UPtimist - 8 pts
Lucien21 - 7 pts
Lady Kestrel - 7 pts
Sage - 2 pts

Round 4, no more restrictions - guess as many as you want!

Well, #2 is The Office. Thanks for the hint Tongue

15 seems familiar…
(Edit): Of course, it is The Wire, I just went looking for the beginning theme (brilliant song, by the way, especially in Season two) but it’s the end theme Smile

Well, I guess since I’m pretty sure, I should hog this one too (sorry!).
#12 is Ein Fall Für Zwei, I believe.

All correct!

Only 18 and 19 are left. Additional hints needed?
