RIP Paul

This morning, our doggie Paul died at the vets. He was not put down, he simply died. He had been dealing with gastritis these past few days, so he was not all that well. This morning my mother went to the vet again because he looked worse despite having been treated yesterday. At the vets, he got treated again, and started to look better again, so my mother decided to go out with him for a second. However, on the way out he started to look worse again. She only managed to pull him back into the treatment room, when he collapsed and was dead. He died of an unnoticed case of Morbus Addison, or Addison’s Disease. Apparently he had had it for a while now (when she came back from an extended stay in the north earlier this year, she had remarked that Paul looked somewhat older. We didn’t notice because we had seen him every day, of course), and he had been dealing with it. But with the gastritis weakening him, the disease seemed to win. He went into a Crisis, and died.

At least he had some good years with us, even if I would have liked to have had more. I already miss you, Paul. Goodbye my cuddly Paul.

(((Jaz))), I’m so sorry for your loss!  Cry

Paul looks adorable in those pics. My thoughts are with you and your family.
I have yet to experience what it’s like to lose a dog and I dread that day although I suspect we’ll be there in a somewhat near future with our Jaffa.

Quest for Knowledge

I’m hoping to find name for game that I played long ago
The people here so well-informed, someone is sure to know
A time machine, grandfather clock, I give it to myself
Oh never mind, the box is sitting there upon my shelf

For real retro gaming nerds, name that game.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.
