best ps3 exclusive

Now, now, let’s hold out on saying that until Atelier Escha & Logy comes out and we know for certain. Tongue

Seriously though, Last of Us looks good and it seems like Naughty Dog have avoided the biggest issue I had with the much beloved (and overrated) Uncharted series - dat ludonarrative dissonance.

Beaten BioshockInfinite on Metacritic, thats some wall of 10, currently at 96 lets see
if it will hold up

My best pick from reviews

“You will play this game and feel the overwhelming storyline, like the characters, and, after you have let it all soak in, some of your favorite moments will be the small things; the things you didn’t have your hand held through”

Edit:

I wonder if Atelier series ever made it to the west, never followed them.

I decided to fork over the money for the Post-Pandemic addition since the Survival Edition is sold out. lol Fine by me. Seeing that wall of 10’s is pretty rare.

Come to check-out Last of Us and I get kiddie anime.  Anyway…..Monolith, I look forward to your initial thoughts and impressions of this game.  If it’s 10/10 and absolutely fantastic, I might breakdown & get a used PS3.  Let me know!

Got the game early, played for 2 hrs, the AI is best one i have ever experienced since Halo1 and MetroidPrime, enemies are brutal, one hit kills and group attacks will make your whole experience nerve wrecking compounded with overall sublime depressing
tone of the world.

Graphically it aint look so hot compared to UC2, let alone MetroLastlight, there is aliasing and low res textures.

Music and Sound design is A+.

More later.

UnCharted 2, imo.

8hrs in and easily the best PS3 exclusive, since i am biased towards
Demon/Darksouls, otherwise this could easily best game this gen overall.

NaughtyDog has put everyone to shame IMO. That E3 demo reveal AI was
just tip of the iceberg, i repeated 4 to 5 sections of different areas
with totally different outcome and experience (repeated because i died, death is
unpredictable thanks to smart AI).

These enemies are as good as alive, AI has outclassed me, and fooled me so many times,
so unpredictable , and its not just enemies, Ellie and partners help throughout, are constantly aware and sometime drop hints about enemy locations which is a blessing because enemies are always manipulating and on the move.
Not to offend anyone but BioshockInfinite Eliz feels like a joke.

Can go on and on about the whole package, it definitely
deserve all those 10s, infact game of the decade mentions by some reviewers are also justified.

Unlike all AAA games , Ndog avoided hand holding, started with same tropes and later went crazy, though campaign is linear there are open places to play differently and needs lots of scavenging to updgrade , make tools and weapons, which makes the
game whole lot tense.

Then there is my favorite Survival Horror aspect that you have to experience yourself.

Graphics are hit and miss, on some locations they are really artistic and detailed,
other areas are average.

That is what i always did, if i wanted console for few games like Gamecube
and Wii, i rented it, borrowed it or bought used one or bought original and
sold it.Smile

Few things before anyone start it,

1. Game got bugs, so sometimes AI gonna be wonky , but i was lucky to face fewer
of those glitches but had 5 hardcrashes.Frown

2.Please try to play it on Normal and switch off Listening mode in option.
Dont take hints of puzzles , take your time to explore. The whole fun was
the challenge. Game is more about stealth and melee combat like
Condemned than shooting like Uncharted2.

3. Game is slow, sublime and grows on you subliminally , unlike AAA
on your face MichaelBay , setpieces heavy games.
More like No Country for Old Men than say Fast6, Transformers etc.

4.14hrs in and game is getting better than before. I want to see who won’t
be amazed by this game. Tried my level best to finish it before E3, but game is
long and jawdropping.

Ahah Nice! I’m so jealous!
Thanks for the impressions. Specially like the part about the focus on stealth/melee and less shooting and the huge length.

My pleasure Smile

Finished, 15hrs 40minutes, range of emotions throughout.

This game ain’t require no rating IMHO. One has to play it to experience the potential
of gaming medium.

I think i have said enough already , huge credit to Sony
for nurturing , building and giving free hand to NaughtyDog, without Sony
vision and stance i think this game would not have been possible in current Safe-Bets,
mainstream AAA gaming world.
