Well nomad, I’m glad Quantic Dream are using the technology to recreate pretty young actresses rather than ugly ass looking men. Welp.

The only downside of the show for me was the fact that I couldn’t get in to see the XCOM presentation. Fuckers, i’m Media. lol Everyone else treated me with respect. /rant

Which XCOM were they showing, the strategy one or the first-person shooter?

The FPS was no where to be seen. Honestly, I would of preferred to see the FPS since it is a different take on the series, than just the same ol same ol…but I have to say the EU is shaping up to be a great counterpart to the fps. I really hope the FPS wasn’t cancelled, that would totally piss me off.

Yeah, I thought the FPS looked like an interesting spin on the series but I guess the negative feedback they got from fans about the changes was enough to give them cold feet and delay it indefinitely so they can rework it into something they think fans want. I’d prefer it if they just made the game they set out to make, completely reworking something midway through production just to cater to an audience is probably not going to lead to a good game. I bet the failure of the Syndicate reboot FPS didn’t help either.

At this point it’s looking like EU is probably going to be the sole future of the XCOM series but at least that does look pretty good.

Beyond 25 minutes gameplay demo, might be spoilers, so beware

Control Entity to solve puzzles, manipulate objects, people and get out of intense situations.
Omikron and Fahrenheit feel to it, control entity.

Graphics are more amazing, the animations , hair and cloth movements.
More gameplay than Heavy Rain thanks to Entity part.

As if E3 was not already awesome
Square enix showed their NEXT-GEN Engine
I guess UE4 already owned before their Thursday reveal

To show its realtime

Fill the survey and Please Reinforce your likeness by saying you want the game
on this setting.

Imagine this tech will be used by SE europe and Next-gen Hitman and TR using it.

^Just saw that. Looks spectacular. The Unreal Engine 4 wasn’t shown yet was it? I’m a dummy for next-gen engine tech demos. Grin They always inspire me.

I’ll probably stop by E3 tomorrow…friends and associates from other publications are that this year was not as good as previous years.  It’s a 4 hour drive for me…so, I hope tomorrow is worth it.  I didn’t schedule any meetings this year since I didn’t attend on Tuesday or Wednesday…so my E3 schedule shouldn’t be too hectic.

Epic hits back with a preview of the new Unreal 4 engine.

Developer walkthrough showing real time fiddling of the georgous world

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

Because of the state of E3’s audience, people thought the UE4 Tech Demo was boring, and Agni’s won the show…...an industry event degraded to the ignorance of the gaming public.

-_-

The only things that interested me from E3 this year were:

- The Last of Us
- Tomb Raider
- Beyond
- Assassin’s Creed 3

In pretty much that order.

I must have missed that one. I just watched the trailer and it looks pretty impressive. Consider it added to my list.

Was there any adventure game news at e3?
I was at least hoping that Telltale or Double Fine would show something. Neutral

Telltale showed The Walking Dead, Episode 2 and Ron Gilbert and Tim Schafer were there to promote The Cave…
