I bought it already, at http://www.paradigit.nl. Now I have to wait for my iMac, which comes on Friday… Why not earlier? I want it yesterday!  Gasp

Edit: why do I get a period after the I? I didn’t write that.

I’ve bought a bunch of CDs: In the Mood for Love OST, Robert Glasper Trio - Mood, Robert Glasper Experiment - Black Radio 2 (unfortunately, to me not nearly as good as the fantastic first Black Radio), and today in the mail Bei Bei - Quiet Your Mind & Listen

Also bought In the Mood for Love for DVD.

And you could say that I “bought” the board game Ortus that was on Kickstarter, since it was at that point already successful.

Also, although it’s an older project already, I’m expecting to get my NeoLucida camera lucida next month! I’m really excited for that Smile

Latest splurge was for the D’ni-set Unwritten RPG. Love computer RPGs, but never played a P&P, so it will be interesting how this works out.

I’m also trying to decide how much I’m finally going to spend on the Obduction Kickstarter. I’ve already pledged, it’s just a matter of how much I finally decide to up my pledge to.  Money Mouth

Although I bought my ticket at least 6 months ago, my splurge came to fruition last night when I saw Bill Cosby perform at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank here in New Jersey.  He did a fantastic non-stop routine for nearly 2 and a half hours, and he kept us laughing the whole time.

Lucky you! Cosby gets made fun of a lot more than I think he should. Personally, I think he’s hysterical. He’s also got a great message for people in general, and it’s hard, I think, for comedians to really balance a positive message and comedy. Bill Cosby does it very, very well.

I agree, Galvanic, and I love it when he assumes the character of a little kid, his grandpa, or his mom.  He captures them so well with his facial expressions, posture, and voice.  I’ve always loved his humor and still have several of his early albums on vinyl.

I just booked me a flight to Barcelona for next year.  Grin Was checking out this site as they often have voucher codes for holidays etc, saw some for flights and got inspired haha. We (a friend and I) will be flying in April, I’m already looking forward to it! Will be lovely to be out for a bit.  Cool

I’m about to book a trip to Barcelona for June next year. Be sure to post some pictures from your trip and give some advice on what to do and what to not do in Barcelona. Wink

Fate may have intervened in my life tonight.

It looks like my trusty Escort may have broken it’s timing belt on the way home from work.  If that is the case it’s repairable, but the timing of the breakdown couldn’t be worse as we’re getting our first real taste of winter here tonight and for the rest of this week and doing major work on a car in freezing temperatures is no fun at all.

However, a car lot I pass every day on the way to and from work has had one of these for sale for the last few days at a very reasonable price-

1999 Pontiac Trans Sport minivan

I’ve been wanting something with more room inside as a second vehicle and the Trans Sports have a reputation for durability… with the exception of the intake manifold gaskets, but the signs of a failing or failed gasket are easy to spot.  I’ll probably stop by there tomorrow and take a much closer look.  If I really like what I see and it’s not horribly ragged-out, I just might have a rolling bread box of my own Monday evening.

Warning- People won’t have as much of a sense of humor about you putting an Alka Seltzer in your mouth then staggering into a restaurant while shouting “THE VIRUS HAS MUTATED!” as you’d hope they would.

Consider this: People say “Ewwww!!!” when they hear about a guy having a hairy bum or hairy back, yet every Teddy Bear ever made has had both a hairy bum AND a hairy back and nobody complains about them; In fact, people think Teddy Bears are adorable.

I drive one of the older Trans Sport models (the “Dust-Buster”), and I have to say it’s a great little plugger. If the later ones are as good, you’ll have a great car for a long time, I think. I’ve always found it easy to drive, and smooth as butter.

I will! Smile I was told spring and June are good times to go there as it’s not too hot and there aren’t that many tourists yet, so you’re off to a good start haha.

Those are nice cars. You see them a lot here in the Netherlands too. In 1998 my colleagues and me hired one in Canada for a week or so on a vacation before the conference we went to started. Every time we rolled open the side door and stepped out we sang Ta Ta Ta daaa like the A-Team tune, and people on the parking lot looked at us funny. Great times!

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.
