I finished the section with Sadja and Rachwan and the part where Nuri starts to fly again, so I’m ready for the next part.  As I suspected, the staff is much more powerful than it seemed up to this point, and I’m still not ready to trust Fahi fully.  I’m anxious to see what happens next.

Play until you reach Drakonia, watch the long cutscene, you should be now where Sadja is escorted to her room, and get ready for chapter V, i will initiate it tomorrow/Saturday (the 28th of Match).

I’ve been stuck on the fire/water/earth/etc. puzzle for the past week, so I’m not sure when I will be ready.

The turning to stone spell ‘puzzle’ there wasn’t any actual puzzle there Doom, unless you have played thru the small part of Geron and have gotten back to Sadja again.. but however, this part has been the weakest i wish could have said it is not what i meant by when talking about the game showing its best.

I was actually talking about the send vision spell: I liked the idea, but realization felt a bit raw to me. And it worked kinda different the second time near the stone wall where you have to lure Rachwan to the fire - this time it didn’t follow the previous scheme (tormentor-himself-friendship), but was more of “click three coldest things on the screen”. Maybe I read too much into the puzzle Smile Anyway I’m planning to finish this devious riddle puzzle and the chapter.

Ok, I used all my mental powers and managed to solve the fire/water puzzle and delved into Chapter V. This is getting interesting! Of course, not much could be added to what I’ve already said, this part was short and straightforward, but I enjoyed (in a rather sadistic way) turning Owlric and his hand-rat into dust and back. It was also nice to meet the shadow figure once again as I find him to be a curious character, and navigating Nuri was fun, even for a short period of time. I’m really impressed with how diverse the gameplay has been so far, even if it means suffering through a maze. And the way the two stories get more and more interconnected adds to the suspense.

Sadja is now in the room with the beautiful view, but all her acoutrements have been taken away.  I’m looking forward to continuing.

Sorry I was late.

Chapter V: My Name, My Garden.

Play the whole chapter V, I guess from now there is no reason we/i can’t go with the original chapters as it is.

This chapter is strong on puzzles and also throws some big new plots into the story.
Pray for Sadja Smile

Can I have a pet air spirit?  I like Sadja’s tongue-in-cheek comment to the admiral about just jumping out the window to escape.

I’ve been roaming the halls and into the different rooms and can see that there are a number of interesting problems to be solved.  The history given by Ariarchos is especially intriguing.

Yeah, i wish, but then we are back to square one where TLJ takes place; Magic v Tech

Sadja is Awesome!, i really must wait for you guys to finish the game to start talking about how you feel for her, but for me, she is one of the best characters ever writing in a visual medium, but that’s just me.

I am finally caught up and am now working on Chapter V.

Interesting that Sadja didn’t think Rachwan deserved his fate.
I don’t know if “deserved” is the word I’d use, but what happened to him (being turned into a mindless slave) didn’t bother me at all.

I don’t remember the stone demon in Owlrich’s house.
Is that going to be explained later?

“Not even him* deserved such fate”,  as she said.
i really don’t mind if he died, but i like how it shows how much humanity within Sadja, being like that even after he was about to kill.

Exactly. The idea that taking away someone’s memories would be worse than killing them outright.  Compare it to how the Djinn of Time saw erasing someone’s memories as giving them a second chance.

It is interesting how you never doubt that Sadja is every inch a princess. And when you meet the Prince Kasim, you see Sadja as far more of a princess than Kasim is a Prince.

I’m finished and I’m amused how much fun this chapter turned out to be. They truly filled the game with magic to the top starting with the spirits which I also adore (although after meeting the air spirit I was expecting that Sadja would adopt every other spirit superpower, like spitting fire or growing up a tulip, but they came up with a different idea) and ending with the dark Satinav tale which gives the game an even more epic scale.

Enjoyed exploring the beautiful institute and how it makes you feel like a tiny bug among those huge interiors. The whole multi-level non-linear chamber puzzle was awesome and reminded me of old-day puzzle design when you keep discovering new things, like the dark space in the dragon chamber which was… just there in the corner. I also enjoyed the whole Sadja-stuff interaction, they found an interesting way to play with all those spells.

The only thing that confused me for a bit was the element/runes puzzle - I mean the game does provide you with clues, someone might’ve even remembered the order of runes from the previous chapter (not me), but it wasn’t easy to recognise symbols drawn on the table in the behind-the-waterfall room nor the small runes at the library. Maybe I missed something, but I solved it after some trial and error anyway.

Intrigued by the story so far, can’t wait for the battle Cool

not to disappoint you, but i found it easy due it being the same order of the elments carved at the library from left to right, starting with the Air-Spirit, but in round circle order, even its very similair to how they are already carved at the arch-thingy in the library.  Wink
