It would appear that EIPIX is potentially going the same route as its competitor, Artifex-Mundi. I’ve not been able to find anything that says EIPIX is abandoning its casual game market for something more “adventurous.” I hope that’s not the case.

But it is certainly understandable that they might want to dip their toe into a different genre.

For those of you who might be wondering why the name sounds familiar, EIPIX has been producing the Mystery Case Files games since BFG stopped doing them under its own banner. For a while it shared the post-Codeminion Phantasmat franchise with ERS Games, but now appears to have it to itself.

they toll for thee.

Hi Rtrooney,
First of all, we are really glad that you’ve already heard about Eipix and that you’ve played our games. We can confirm that our HOPA production continues as usual, but our goal is to also establish ourselves in other genres. Text-based adventures are interesting to us because we already have experience in making Lifeline: Whiteout. We found out that text-based adventures are a great way for us to develop storytelling in a way we want, and that’s why we decided to do decidedly text-based game, set in a highly visual setting.
We hope that you will enjoy Lightstep Chronicles Smile
