To be honest I think it is too soon for a new generation or am I just starting to feel old? lol Not seen anything that has blown me away other than that Ryse: Son of Rome which had quite cinematic graphics.

But like all consoles we probably wont see any innovation til the console has been on the market for at least 2-3 years. I won’t be buying one any time soon, these days I’m more inclined to sink the money into a really powerful computer more for my film editing work but a bonus that it should play most top end games.

Where is Half Life 2 Episode 3 anyway? lol

One Love.

I agree that it’s too soon. I wish they’d have waited at least a year, or rather two. But it’s all about the Benjamins, baby.

As for HL2e3, as I understand they’ve decided to just go straight for HL3 Smile As for HL3, it seems to be quite a metaphysical mystery, what’s going on with it Tongue

This is by far the longest a console generation has gone on so, it’s definitly not too soon.

In fact some people have said that they waited too long and that has damaged the growth of the sector. Too many sequels, an issue that usually gets reset with the release of new consoles.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

This is very true, I’m just being an old man before my time. lol Other than playing a bit of Skyrim on the 360 every now and again I don’t play games anymore and its starting to worry me.

I just walk into CEX [tech store] and walk through all the games and don’t see a single thing that grabs me. Really does scare me.

Worrying that you’re not playing games anymore is at least the opposite of what most people worry about in regards to gaming Grin

I’m with you about the games. All the games that come out, I couldn’t care less. I don’t have any interest in the big releases (or medium ones, for that matter… Destiny is about the only game that is exciting right now, and the only one I’m looking forward to in the next-gen (though it’s also coming out on this gen… Watch Dogs is interesting but I’m not going to get it either).

Frankly, it’s the same with movies. It’s rare if there are consecutive years when even one interesting release comes out (with games too, though there are usually a few interesting small indie games per year, but when speaking of retail games..).
