Unavowed, new game from Dave Gilber.
Urban fantasy adventure, set in the same universe as Blackwell where you can choose a male or female protagonist.

We’ve increased our graphic resolution to 640 x 360 (most of our games are 320 x 200)

I’ve been hearing about this lately. Can’t wait. And similar to Dave’s usual tendency it’s said to be his biggest project so far Smile

That unhappened game based on Vertigo comics would’ve also been cool, though.

“Set in the same universe as Blackwell”

So…this universe… with ghosts?

Sounds great! Smile

I always disliked cheap graphics and terribad VAs of Blackwell, but these screens look delicious.
Please hire decent VAs too.
I am in the hype train.

Dude, those graphics are the exact same style as Blackwell. Only higher resolution.

Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka

Yeah, the VA in their games is usually of very high quality.

Anyway, It looks great and I’m really looking forward to this game.

Well, they’re the same style as Blackwell Epiphany. There’s been quite a wide range of variation in the graphic style over the course of the series. Though I suspect the differences are lost on nomadsoul.

Looking forward to the new Wadjet Eye Game as always, but I’d like to hear a little bit more about the hook before I really start feeling hyped.

Looks nice! Smile

I wonder is it the same game what was talked about in AdventureX 2015: Part 2 - The People article:
“Dave spoke about a new game that is in the early stages of development, set in a world of magic. In this there will be five available characters, with the player choosing two to use.”

On a side note - has anyone have news about Automaticity? They signed a publishing deal with Wadjet Eye Games a year ago, but now there has been no update since last spring. Is it still worked on? I was really hoping to hear about it from AdventureX.

Automaticity was still in active development as of August, at least.

Unfortunately, Automaticity has been put on indefinite hold.

Thanks Grundislav for informing! Even though it made me weep.
We’d also like to know the reason, but I’m pretty sure you can’t reveal it, do you?

Yep! That’s the game. It’s still in the VERY early production stages now, but here are some facts about it:

- It’s an urban fantasy, set in the same universe as Blackwell
- We’ve increased our graphic resolution to 640 x 360 (most of our games are 320 x 200)
- You can choose a male or female protagonist

As Grundy said, it’s on indefinite hold. We can’t really say more than that.
