Gog releasing some old adventures
Looks like that’s the CD version which has less dialogue. I wonder if they could be encouraged to include the floppy version. I remember at least one specific joke excluded from the CD version.
I’ve just downloaded it & you have a choice to play either the CD or floppy version.
Cool thanks for the info!
Coincidentally, Ken Williams sent out an email to I think the sierragamers mailing list this week, pointing out http://tdosci.weebly.com/get-involved.html which is an effort to get those lesser-known Sierra titles released. That page is basically just GOG links to go vote for each game. I went and voted for every game I would actually buy.
i haven’t received anything but thanks a lot for sharing This info
i voted for Rama and Colonel’s bequest

That’s FANTASTIC, I had no idea about that function! Thank you!!
I voted for a bunch of Sierra games and (of course) Monkey Island
Not adventure games but Caesar 1 and 2 showed up on gog so they might still be releasing other Sierra/Activision classics
Now we’re getting somewhere.

Woohoo!
Wishlisted - thanks for tipping us off!
Good! Seems like Activision and Gog definitely worked out something, let’s see how deep it goes.

While I definitely appreciate this list and I hope that it draws people attention to these lost classics. I was really happy today that the Laura Bow games were released. There are quite a few other games on the list that I am interested in purchasing but there are a couple notable ommissions, namely: Heart of China and Rise of the Dragon by Dynamix.
Also, Softporn is available already as a bonus with the Leisure Suit Larry collection on GOG, Gold Rush! is available on Steam and the Conquests games are available to download for free on Christy Marx’s website and work fine in ScummVM.

Are you sure? The file link for Robin Hood appears to be dead and I can’t find a link for Camelot any more

That’s very interesting. I just downloaded both of them last month, but you’re right the links seems to be missing / don’t work now. Hopefully that is a good sign that they are going to be released soon.
Considering Marx has had the games up for ages, I think this might be an indication of some sort of digital release in the horizon.
Here’s hoping!
And now Willy Beamish. I’ve never played it; maybe I should give it a try.
Removed - I looked up the game and I had another game in mind.

That’s neat, it comes with a hint book.

Yes, I think they are going for the full Sierra experience. I was surprised to find GOG’s The Colonel’s Bequest came complete with copy protection. Not sure how well that fits the definition of “DRM free”, but there you go.
