CAYNE : Freetoplay Standalone Horror trip from Devs of Stasis
From the developers of STASIS, the critically acclaimed, isometric adventure game comes: CAYNE.
FREE
CAYNE will be absolutely free to download and enjoy. It is a freestanding chapter, so you won’t need STASIS to play CAYNE. It will be available on STEAM and directly from this site.NEW
CAYNE has been created from the ground up to be able to support numerous incorporated features like higher resolutions, and particles and post effects.STORY
CAYNE is an adjunct to STASIS. But don’t worry - it’s spoiler free, if you haven’t played STASIS yet!
Hadley wakes in a facility. She is 9 months pregnant. They want her baby…You can get more info and screenshots over at http://playcayne.com/
Any word on length?
It should be considerably shorter than the main game itself. It’s an extra chapter to the overall story, independet in nature, but it’s meant to work as a prologue to Stasis.
Devs are saying 1-2 hours.
New trailer
Playing: 1) Broken Sword 5 2) Road 96
Great trailer, going for direct clocktower chase and run mechanics?
2 hrs is a bummer.
Cayne release date seems to be January 24th 2017

And that will also be the date that the Desolation Kickstarter starts.
Basically, on January 24th, I’ll be telling Chris Bischoff to

Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka

Cayne was just released for the backers of Stasis. I’ve given it a small spin and it does look pretty sweet. Graphics have improved a bit thanks to an engine change and overall the gameplay seems to be the same.

I loved Stasis and the fact that Cayne is going to be free is quite the treat considering they could have easily charged a small fee for it. My money is definitely going to the Desolation Kickstarter
This message will self destruct in 3… 2… 1… BOOM!!!

GIVE IT ALL!!!!
In seriousness Cayne was a joy to make. I hope that more people are introduced to the Adventure Game genre through the game because its free. Adventure games have given me so much - I hope that I can give it back just a few extra players!
