Main Aggies will be among There is no game: Wrong Dimension, Paradise Killer and Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice.

I have to agree completely with this. However, I’d love Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story to get best graphics design.

Best Non-Traditional Adventure: Cyberpunk 2077

I would be interested to hear some background for this selection.

Everyone knows it’s the buggiest game of all times. Not counting that, it seems to be a very bad game overall. I have watched at least three 30-60 minutes long very deep review videos, and basically they all say that the game is garbage, even if there were no bugs and glitches it would mediocre at best.

And it is my understanding that it was marketed as an RPG, but what finally came out was an FPS. So how do you count this as an adventure? Are they ways to play it more “brainiacly”? If so, then all those reviews have skipped that part, as they all show police dudes that spawn out of thin air and shoot randomly around.

So did you choose it because there was no other game you could think of, or are there some hidden redeeming qualities in it?

I thought Shady Part of Me deserves at least, to be nominated for the best concept, but its not, weird!
and for Best Acting the new LSL is right up there with the best. Cool

Nothing really new about Shady Part of Me’s concept. Contrast did it, Iris.Fall did it, and a few others I’m forgetting (some of them not out yet, but already announced). It is a neat idea, just not really original anymore.

I’m pretty happy with the nominees. Almost all of my nominations made it, which I guess isn’t too surprising since I mostly picked games that were highly rated on the site. I’m just glad that we’re pretty much guaranteed a unique Adventure Gamers GOTY this year. This is contrast to last year where Outer Wilds and Disco Elysium won big awards here, but received tons of recognition elsewhere.

Some games I liked like Cloudpunk and The Complex were nominated. Little Hope didn’t get any nominations which surprised me.

Which game gets GOTY will be interesting, that’s for sure.

It got a nod for Best Music!

Only Nine Witches (I finished recently) haven’t made it from my list (definitely found it better than Detective Boiled-Hard as far as comedy goes). Not a fan of Willy Morgan or In Other Waters, but other than that - I have similar views, aside some indies that will never make Aggies.

There Is No Game was a highlight of the year for me, just like for many others here.

let me just say that it seems obvious that there is nothing great or memorable about adventure games this year, generally speaking.

i had never been so passive about the Aggies and what or which wins what, more than this year, i even voted for 4 categories only.

I had three games that I played make the aggies and I liked all three and voted for them:

Cloudpunk

The Complex

Little Hope

I really enjoyed all three and could not recommend them highly enough.
