Recommendations for getting my 7yo to read

Hi there, great forum!
I had a look at the Recommendations for Kids thread, but I am looking for something quite specific.

Platform: Android (tablet)
Budget: Not a problem (in fact, I’d rather pay than having ads)

What I’m looking for is an adventure game (or in fact, any kind of game actually) for my daughter, that requires her to read in order to proceed in the game, rewarding and encouraging reading, as opposed to brute force.
The captions will need to be replayable, or anyway slow enough so she can read, otherwise she would get frustrated because they disappear before she can finish. This is actually key.
I am a long-time adventures fan, so would be happy to play with her, but it would be great if she could at some point go solo and I only help her out when needed.
She has played The Secret On Sycamore Hill and she liked it, but too little reading and too much brute-forcing.

Thanks! Grin

I would recommend Nancy Drew Codes and Clues Mystery Coding Game. She should just love it.

I enjoy playing adventure games on my Alienware M17 r4 and my Nintendo Switch OLED.

If you can’t find any of those, see if you can get your hands on Sierra’s Island of Dr Brain. It is more spelling-based than Castle, its predecessor, and extremely entertaining for children.

Pink Panther games if you can find them.
