Hi

I need a link to the website of the games you are reviewing. Where is it? RockpaperShotgun has the links in the review-text. But you have none - or I cant find it.

And this takes me to where?...

To elaborate:
When I read a review of a game and I want to buy it - I need a link to where I can do that. All the links on adventuregamers, com leads to themselves…..

If the game is available at any of our affiliate shops (GOG, GamersGate, App Store, etc.) there is a purchase link to the right of each review. If not, there isn’t.

Ok. But there should also be a link to the games main site. Not just to buy.

If there’s a “main site” for a game, it’s listed on our product page for that game. There’s a “game info” box for each review, and clicking for more will give you all the information you need. (Or all the information we have, anyway.)

So where is the link to Ether One´s home page: http://ether-game.com/ ?

If I go to your page for ether one: http://www.adventuregamers.com/games/view/22008

I can´t find any links to http://ether-game.com/

The links aren’t as prominent as I’d like it to be on the game pages, but moving them is about #632 on the to-do list, so that’ll have to do for a while.

I was trying to find the purchase link to Steam for a few games but couldn’t see them. I could see them on the Ether One link posted above by Timshark but not for these:

From what I am observing, Steam is not an affiliated website to AG. The link for Ether One is for humblebundle (although the Steam icon there is confusing). Someone from AG can validate that though.

Affliated website? What does that mean? I don’t care what the shop is, humblebundle or GOG or Steam, I just want to buy the game and would like a link for that.

It means that AG gets a (very) small percentage of each sale generated directly through our affiliate links.

AG is an affiliate of GOG, Humble, and Epic Games Store, but not Steam itself, so you won’t see purchase links for games sold there.

That is disappointing, it would have been a good service for AG users.

I have seen the AG symbol on Steam (check the store page for Detective Di) so if you feel they are not giving you anything in return, I don’t think that’s true.

The Steam references are because the game is listed on our Steam Curator page, which we maintain ourselves. So we’re making use of a service they offer rather than Steam really “giving” us anything.

I don’t disagree with you about adding Steam links more regularly, but I trust you can understand that we really need to maximize affiliate purchases as much as possible. (Because believe me, it ain’t much! Tongue)
