Don’t much care for shooting people and that kind of stuff or games that are too juvenile.

We liked Ana Capri The Dream, A Quiet Weekend in Capri, Myst, The lost Crown, The Seventh Guest and found we liked the hidden object game Phantasmat more that we expected to.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks, CM

You might like Yoomurjak’s Ring. Fantastic game based around exploring the Hungarian town of Eger and solving an historical mystery.

Also the Carol Reed series which are great fairly short mystery games similar to the Capri games, set in Sweden. Find them here.

And of course, the charming Syberia.

The Gabriel Knight series.

You’re welcome.

This, Loom, The Dig, and I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream.  That’s all I can really tell ya, myself.

Gadget: Past as Future might be a good fit, but I’ve only seen it around here and there.  Not actually played it.

All the recommendations here are good, haven’t played Yoormujak’s Ring or I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream but they’re on my to-do list.

Gabriel Knight trilogy is pure brilliance and anyone that ever plays any adventures should definitely play them.

If you like Phantasmat, you might want to check out the monthly Casual Games thread. It has some game recommendations that might appeal to you.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Phantasmagoria 1& 2, L.A. Noir, Gabriel Knight series.  Haven’t played the Walking Dead game, but I’m sure it has a more “grown up” feel to it.  the Jurassic Park game was okay, but no where near as good as Heavy Rain, which I do recommend.
