Hey, what are some modern indie cinematic platformers similar to Prince of Persia, Another World, and Flashback?

Here are some I’ve come across:
Limbo, Inside, Little Nightmares, Eternal Castle, The Way

Besides the oldngold Oddworld and Heart of Darkness I’ll add the recently released Gris into your list. And keep your eyes open for an eventual release date of The Last Night.

Here’s a great breakdown of cinematic platformers that goes up to 2015.

I think that good example for this is NitW ( https://rawg.io/games/night-in-the-woods ). Okay it’s about the story too but i think that’s a pretty good adventure. Rock band, knife duels, into the wild… That’s pretty good game. RIP Holowka.

Thanks for all the great recommendations. That’s a lot, don’t know where to start.

I really enjoyed Stela. It’s very short though, so better wait for a good discount.

Too bad we can’t play it on PC VR. But I’ll probably get PSVR 2 once it will land on PS5 anyway.

Other than that, MOSS is amazing 3rd person VR cinematic platformer as well. It’s beautiful and awe inducing. One of my favourite games of all time actually.

And not to forget Witchblood. This one actually belongs to metroidvania sub-genre. It’s surprising how much VR adds to 3rd person side scrollers.
