I bring back this thread from the dead, as we can keep on mourning those games-that-once-could-be.
As diego started off by saying:
The game(s) that never was!
Cancelled games, unreleased sequels, shattered dreams… Or when even a game can leave us broken-hearted… I’ve been looking into list of such titles, and here’re the ones i’ve found. Please help with those i’ve missed!

I was looking forward to Dreamfall Chapters. Longest Journey came out in 2000, Dreamfall 2006 - I was hoping something would come this way in 2012.
I enjoy playing adventure games on my Alienware M17 r4 and my Nintendo Switch OLED.

This DotT 2 (Return of the Tentacle) Teaser Video had been on the tube since 10th Oct 2007!! ..
and its been long since ,but i wouldnt give up as i remember that Vampyre Story project which was released 2010 (as i remember) was announced at 2004.
i noticed the trailer went out on 2007 but i saw a tweet a few days ago.so i thought maybe the guy knew something.didn’t really look into it.i figured the game is a classic and it could be possible.

There was/is also a remake of Simon the Sorcerer 3D in the style of Simon 2, but I don’t think any progress has been made for years. Shame. 
Until I’m Gone is under steady, semi-active development. Restless is abandoned and buried deep in the gound, unfortunately 
Project Joe is also permanently cancelled.

Dreamfall Chapters is not canceled. It is delayed until after The Secret World is completed. My guess is that we won’t see it before 2014.
I can deal with 2014. I’ve heard that Dreamfall Chapters will be very good and complete the story.
