Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Thursday 24 May 2012
Anyone remember Aura? I could never understand anything about the plot, but it had pretty pictures and clever puzzles, and I liked it for that. I should replay it sometime.
i can remember it satisfied my Myst/Riven’s Hunger at that time.

Oh yeah, I meant to ask about that. I saw an Aura 3 in the site’s database, with several screenshots, but no article or news post explaining anything about it. What is that about? Did it get cancelled?

I think Aura 3 was planned for the 2011 release, along with several other games. But since TAC, the official publisher of Streko’s games, was sold last summer, they probably closed their doors.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

I agree the plot was vague. And after having played the Myst series I found Aura to be a big disappointment. But it has pretty graphics and some beautiful music that’s true.
