That would be Toonstruck in 1994.
Hey! I just realised that about this time it's my tenth anniversary of becoming an adventuregamer! Hooray!

Monkey Island 1 EGA demo in 2002 or 2003, I really liked that demo so I eventually got the full VGA game. I loved it even more. Glad my first game was a good one!

LSL1. I was not very good at english and I never got very far, and it wasn't the game that got me hooked to adventure games.

It was King's Quest: Mask of Eternity, but if you don't include that as an adventure game, the next one I played was GK3 I think (could've been EfMI too, but probably not...)

"Escape From Rungistan" on my brother's Apple II. I think it was in 1983 or 1984.

I think the first adventure game I played was Dune about 8 years ago, for about 10 minutes, I wasn't very good at english back then.
Then I remember Lost in Time, I really got far in that game, but never finished it. The first AG I finished, I think it was Hopkins FBI.

Wow, you know what I just realized..
My first post on these forums, aside from the obligatory "Hi.. I'm Icelandic. LOVE ME!" post, was a post resembling this one oh, so much. That was back in 2000 or something like that... back when AG went down for the first time and for like.. a year. Wow. Memories flooding back!

My first adventure game was Leisure Suit Larry for the Amigawhen I was maybe 3. Of course I couldn't read or write so I would just run back and forth between the outside of the bar and the gu that tries to beat you up on the next screen.
Although I do remember my dad playing the game and flushing the toilet and dying. |

I think it was an obscure text-only adventure on the C64, but the first adventure game I remember playing must be African Safari (also on the C64). In some ways it resembled the early Sierra titles, as you controlled a character on screen and typed in basic text commands in the bottom. Here's a screenshot: http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http....php%3FID%3D62
I never really got far. One of these days, I'll have to play it again. But there are so many games I really should play again.... |

Leisure Suit Larry 1. My dad got a copy (yes, copy!) at work and he and I played it together. I was eight. Mom was mortified.
