Default Apartments/homes in adventure games

So to me one of the best things about AGs is the mood of the games. And I really love a good apartment or home in an adventure game, some of the architecture is very good. Here are some of my favourites, does anyone have any others to add? I've had to scale them down so they aren't too big:

Lara's apartment in Memento Mori (Lyon, France)

Nicole's apartment in Art of Murder (New Jersey, USA)

Murder scene "loft" in Art of Murder (Paris, France)

Perry's apartment/room in Perry Rhodan

Sam's room at Dread Hill Manor in Gray Matter (England)

Dockland converted warehouse in 15 Days (London, England) (exterior shot)

I love this thread already.
I'd like to contribute with Gabriel's bedroom from GK1. I think I already posted this in a thread about which adventure game location you'd like to live in, sorry for the lack of originality. XD

I agree with you and I think Heavy Rain is an awesome example of the character's home being a great source of mood. The contrast between the two homes is something that really pulled me in to his world and gave of so much emotion.

Looking at the outside of the houses (though the details inside are spectacular, and again, the two contrast like a cigarette in between a nun's lips):

This

and then this

Edit: Oh yeah, and I thought the recurring visits to Nico's apartment worked great as a way to break up moments of tension in BS 1.

And I found exploring it in the 3D BS 3 fascinating.

On a side note, I REALLY do hope I will be able to explore George's home/apartment one day! I wonder what it would be like...

First thing that comes to mind is an entire house in Day of the Tentacle, since it's the unique experience with same rooms through different time.

And almost any room in Phantasmagoria:

I don't have any pictures on me, but I really love Zoe's apartment in "Dreamfall". And all of the rooms in the hotel in "Dark Fall".

For some reason, I like Peter Wright's Brooklyn "bachelor pad" from The Moment of Silence, maybe it's the Asian-inspired decor. I'd hate to work at a soulless job like Peter's just to afford such a place, though!

For some reason, the first thing that comes to mind is Mccoy's apartment from Blade Runner, with cute dancing dog and a balcony.

I'm not a fan of the game, but those moments felt so homey and relaxing.

And here's a candidate for the worst apartment ever:

Windlenot's study and bedroom in Shivers were pretty sweet.

I don't have any screenshots to hand, but how about the assorted places for Syberia, even the very humble hotel room at the start of the game. And let's not forget the cabin/lodge in Syberia II.

This looks amazing and is exactly the sort of apartment I love. I have this game but can't get it running in Vista or Windows 7 because of the awful Starforce DRM and not being able to get it to work (even with a patch that is supposed to fix it).

I tried adding images in post but couldn't find the add atachmnet button, only add image url so i used that but it didn't add the images to the post, I checked the FAQ but that didn't help. If someone could explain it to me it would be really helpful, thanks

You did it correctly. For some reason, your post is being flagged as spam (even though it isn't) and I need to figure out how to okay it. It may be that you are a new poster and it's just not letting you post images this early on? I'll see what I can do.

ETA: I "approved" your post but I still can't get the pics to show up. I'll try something else.

Well I took the images from giantbomb.com ( which I just discovered) since I don't have any of my own snaps atm. The images are from BS 2 and Puzzle Agent 2

Another vote for Nico's flat!

EVEN IF the landlord keeps saying he'll fix the main door for 3 years, EVEN WITH those drafty windows and with the insufficiant heating... George can fix those! Starting with the last problem , the other ones, will be fixed eventually...

Anyways,
It's funny actually! Nico's flat is one of the first things I started my sketchup hobby with , a few years back!

Here:

I was only a beginner back then...but things change!
