Default Lume

Has anyone played this game?

http://store.steampowered.com/app/105100/

It looks like a very interesting puzzle adventure game. Here's hoping the site reviews it.

I hadn't heard of it before release, but it's definitely on our radar now. I'm sure we'll cover it in some form or another.

Wow.... looks really cool.
Original environments... some clever puzzles, this could be
worth looking into.

Default Stay away, far, far away

Stay away from Lume! Although it is visually clever (the entire thing was made out of paper and filmed to create the game), the game has the following flaws:

1. It is way too short. About 3 hours worth of play. The thing you will spend the most time on is a bookshelf, which contains a lot of irrelevant material.

2. The puzzles have a lot of pixel hunting involved. And the character can only stand in a fixed position.

3. The puzzles are mostly easy but some are really hard.

4. The interface is small. The game uses the flash player as a runtime engine, and looks to be made for an 800 x 600 display. Although it is full screen, you will have a gigantic amount of flash player won't even scale unless you right click and select zoom.

I won't be buying further episodes.

I don't really agree any of those points to be something why people "should stay away" from the game.

1 - 3 hours for an episode is decent, it is not a whole game.
2 - Gameplay choices that are not absolute negatives, some people might actually like these.
3 - Puzzle difficulty varies? Quite regular for adventures.
4 - Good to know.

You are listing good information about the game but they are not even flaws for many people. Without the title and the first sentence that post would make a lot more sense.

Personally I have not played this game but I might try it out someday.

Just finished the game, and yes, it is very short. Unfortunately it only lasted for one hour for me. There are less than 10 puzzles, which is not many.

I don't have much to say about this game, as it was too short for me to have a real opinion on it, except that the graphics are good and the music average.

I would recommend waiting for a sale to pick it up.
