Default Sam & Max: Hit The Road Sales Figures?

does anyone know the sales figures for Sam & Max: Hit The Road.. i know it went gold in the US which is 500, 000 i think.. but does any1 know the exact figures..and what it was worldwide?

i always thought going "gold" ment that the production is compleated and is going to the manufacture to get copy'd and shiped out.

Heh. When a music CD "goes gold", that means it sells 500,000 copies. When a game "goes gold", all that means is that the final master release is ready and shipping to stores is imminent. It has nothing to do with sales figures. So yes, Sam & Max Hit the Road did "go gold"...about eleven years ago.

i dont know the exact number, i'm guessing a little over a million worldwide, maybe more. i could be wrong

Have they ever stopped selling the game?? I mean, with all of the LA collections and whatnot, It's probably sold a lot more than we think.

Apparently it's ranked 164 at Amazon UK. Frankly I have no idea what this means because I don't know what the other 163 items before it are. If it's just PC games, then I suppose 164 isn't anything special, but if that figure is taking in all items, then 164 is really quite good.

i just remember reading back in the day that it had sold 500, 000 this was just when it was released in australia though
