New GOG copycat
By the name of DotEmu a new portal for old games was opened today. It already features a number of adventures, like BS2 & 3, Atlantis 3 & Evolution and Gobliins.
The design of the website is very similar to GOG, so also the non-DRM policy. Prices are at the moment even lower then on GOG. |

Quite odd offering the second and third game in the Broken Sword series, but not the first (and yes, I realise it's identical to GOG's offer)? I also find 6 euro for BS2 to be a bit steep price these days.

It is true to have more is to be merrier, but this is a little TOO much like GOG if you ask me

Wow - now that's a clone site if I ever did see one
The difference being that GOG is one of the slickest sites on the net. This site is quite the shameless, tacky ripoff. If you're not offering anything new to consumers then why bother?

Nothing compares to GOG in my opinion, they do cracking prices! Specially for us pound sterling people, its like half price on everything!

The Thread™ will die.

I remember reading on one site that DotEmu is run by people who provide some of the back-end for GOG anyway, so there's a reason why the offerings are so similar.

Yeah but that's no excuse. They can still change the layout. As orient said, why do it if it is keeping the exact look and doesnt offer anything different? Just trying to encroach on GOG's sales. Weak.

A clumpsy and lewd rip-off. I hope the don't make it. And probably they won't, the look of it is amateurish.

I hope they will find there own way. There are still a lot of treasures out there waiting to be rediscovered. It would be great if they would work on games that can't be found on GOG and visa versa making the total offer larger. I do like the pricing and the fact there is no DRM!
