Hi! Thank you for the links. Unfortunately, I was unable to watch the interview from YouTube because it was constantly re-buffering (even though I have a broadband connection) and the download link seems to be dead.
BTW, I'm a big fan of Runaway series and one of those who think that it has brought a breaze of fresh air to the genre. I love the all aspects of the first two games: graphics, music, story, acting as well as general mood and feel. Acording to the screenshots and trailer I've seen thus far, "Runaway: Twist of Fate" will continue this tradition. I also feel a bit sad that it's going to be end of Runaway saga. But if they manage to come out with the decent ending which will nicely round-up the whole thing, I'm not complaining. I just hope that the talented people behind this title will continue making new games like "Runaway". P.S. I'm hoping that english PC version will come out immediately when the game ships. I thought I've seen some german titles in the trailer; I hope that we won't have to wait for more than a year for the english-voiced game to be available, like with Secret Files 2 or Memento Mori. |

Wow ! You said everything I was thinking !
And I'm totally with you on the German thing. Although I played SF2 and Memento Mori in German I think ýou've just got to play Runaway in English Can't wait for it's release ! |

I'm not a huge fan of the Runaway series, but I'd like to see the story resolved. And since Twist of Fate looks darker than the previous 2 installments, I think I might like this one beter than its prequels.
Will try to lay my hands on it. The English version, definately not a Dutch-subtitled one with spelling errors, translation errors, and even missing labels (replaced by a square...very informative).

Cool. I'm glad to see an update for this game, but is it true it's not going to be a continuation of the second game?

Is the vocal section the same people who did the opening song for the first Runaway? It sounds familiar.

I enjoyed the first one (the first 3/4 of the game anyway)
The 2nd one sucked really bad, and I played it for maybe 40 minutes and promptly traded it on GameTZ. I hope the 3rd one really kicks ass..... |

Since I had problems watching the interview with Pendulo Studios on YouTube, I saw only a few fragments of it. I think when they said that ToF won't be a continuation of the first two games, they were probably referring to the "darker tone" of this sequel. IMO it would be illogical not to continue the story from "The Dream of the Turtle", considering how it ends...

I guess it was the story, I really don't remember. I just recall it being painful to play, in one manner or another...
Oh, and I didn't play the first game until just before I tried the 2nd one. |

I played the first two and liked them - so I'm sure this one will be quite fun too!

Anyway, I can understand not enjoying a game. Different tastes and all, but... why the hatred? High expectations that weren't met? I can understand disappointment when a sequel is released that is completely different from a beloved original, or when a game based on a well known franchise is rushed. Runaway is an original concept, though, so I can't understand why anyone not liking it would bear a grudge, let alone play the sequels or care one way or the other if they were made. |

Don't worry about those guys Sik. Runaway is a great game. It must be to have 3 of them. If it wasn't popular then they wouldn't of made 3 of them.
I can't wait for this game and i am sooo glad Vera is back for the music! It's gonna be Legen...wait for it...dary! Cheers, Myles Blasonato.

I think Runaway inspires an unusual degree of dislike because many people find the characters very unsympathetic, some of the gameplay mechanisms very annoying, and the story and writing offensively bad. The fact that it's a very polished and superficially attractive game just adds insult to injury.
At least that won't be a problem for this third installment, because honestly, it kind of looks like crap. Those character models and that stiff animation? Not particularly appealing. And that explosion is simply pathetic. Yeah, there's some nice background art, but the 3D work simply doesn't stack up.

That, of course, would be the same one we already posted here.
