I'm going to try to update this post with every new release of an iPhone and iPod touch adventure game that I find. It's really hard to find anything on the App Store if you don't know what you're searching for, I thought I would try to make it easier. So far I know of two, but I expect that to grow pretty quick. All updates will be by date of update and then alphabetical order. If I miss any, please reply with the title and I'll update the list.

I bought CSI when it first came out, the graphics are nice and the voiceacting good. But the puzzles are WAAAY easy and there is only one(1!) case to solve. I played through it in less than an hour.

My verdict: Not worth the money and has zero replay value. Skip this one.

I hear 1112 is kinda short, but it's been updated to fix the translation issues. Hopefully I'll have some iTunes gift cards soon so I can try some of them out myself.

1112 is short but sweet, I think the devs are on the right track, I hope they keep pushing with regular release of episodes

1112 looks really appealing to me. Nice artwork - the flickery character animation seen on the official website looks very Hotel Dusk-inspired.

Now, is it just me or is the character on the website an exact replica of Johnny Depp? I know it's common to model character's from real people but c'mon

Anyone play Soul Trapper: Episode 1 and think it should be on this list? It sounds like a choose your own adventure audiobook.

Also, word has it Myst is coming Q1 2009 now. So some time early next year we should have Myst and 1112, episode 2 at the least.

Be sure you have updated the app, there is supposed to be an update that fixes the translation problems.

Found out about two more adventure games coming to the iPhone. Tetraedge is porting Syberia and Return to Mystery Island! Both games are currently listed for Q4 2008, but I'm assuming they're both going to miss that at this point.

Wow, thanks so much for pointing me to Alternate Endings! I had never heard of this interactive movie on iPhone before. As a huge fan of FMV, and for a measly 1,59 euro, I'm downloading the massive 433MB game as we speak.

To be honest, I have only played Alternate Endings through once now, so I can't say anything about the different endings and branches. The acting, however, is fun to watch and wonderfully tongue-in-cheek. It's good quality for this kind of thing. You get two choices at the end of each 3-4 minute scene and I liked the way things turned out. At the end you can see the choices you have made and have the option to jump to a particular point so you can make the other one. For 1,69 euro ($2) I think this isn't bad value.

The reviews say the entire story can run up from 25 to 40 minutes, but I wonder. Maybe there are longer branches (I didn't do very well on my play-through). The story is fun and kind of complex with everybody double-crossing each other, so that's fun. Try it. I want more of these things.

I love my iPhone and I am thrilled to see adventure games coming on this platform. I have only played Star Wars Force Unleashed, which is probably not an adventure game but it does have a plot and a story and it is kinda nice.
