Oh yes, oh yes... I knew staying positive (to be punny: optimistic) would pay off... Sure, the release date might still change but at least now it reall seems like it's coming next year

Now this looks interesting. Kinda like the old days are (coming) back. I haven't really followed news about this game; I'll have to read up on it.

Oh nice, I hadn't noticed that. Actually, weren't the folks at dtp planning on a new website for Gray Matter?

I think I got it!
First they said: "Coming soon 2009" Then, way after everybody else lost any hope of it ever being released in 2009 (or ever?), they finally admitted it is not going to happen, but this time they added a month - "Coming soon March 2010" - yay! Said everybody. Now it's official. We can start counting the days! Then they changed their minds again (not waiting for the last minute this time, gotta say that to their favor) - " Coming soon May 21, 2010" We even have a DAY this time! I guess now it's REALLY official right? I sure hope so... Unless of course the next announcement will include an HOUR too, I can already see it - "Coming 'soon' 10:00 AM, December 30, 2010" This game has built too much hype way too soon, I fear that by the time it'll be out people won't even know what it is... In the meantime our "goddess" Jane Jensen put her name under a new game: Agatha Christie - Dead Man's Folly. It is a new hidden object game with a decent who dunnit story, which had nothing to do with the game play though

Jane has been a driving force with Oberon Games for years. No surprise there.

This has become the most "non-news" thread ever. I mean how much longer can they claim that the game is coming along and nearing completion and yet all they can show are artwork and a still-image trailer? Just be honest....the game is either doa or needs more time. But making a big deal about it and yet all they can show is production artwork.....just pointless...I need to see a trailer with actual in-game footage before I believe this wonder-project even remotely has a chance of making it to market.

Then you probably won't care for my words, but believe me: the game is really happening, and it will make to the market.

You know, every time this thread is highlighted as having unread posts, my heart leaps a bit. Too bad it is never the news of a solid release date or an actual announcement of release, but given that there is still news coming from the Gray Matter front, even though it is not much, it is still a sign, to me at least, that there is still work in progress somewhere. There is still something going on. And I rather have the game taking more time than initially planned, than to see it rushed to a release.
Sure, I'd like to see more news, but only if it is some interesting news. It would not be very newsworthy to have an update of them every week with nothing more than 'we're working on it','we're still working on it'. Of course I'd like to know what part they are working on, but 'working on graphics' and 'still working on the graphics' is not very informative either. So, yeah, let's stick to the sparse news we get and be happy we still got some news.

Well, May 21st is the current release date for the UK, as we reported last month. That's more than 'no actual announcement'.

And when we see it actually released, we'll all believe it.

It's funny, almost like a weather pattern, whenever there's a flurry of activity on this thread, a new development often comes along, like an entry on Jane's blog or something. I wonder, does one create the other? Does the anticipation create the event?
Will we see a new screenshot anytime soon? Will the game actually be released on May 21st? Here's hoping! |

FWIW, it is the worst of the series, to date. Absolute bomb. Going to try to get my money back.
