If those are choices, then "None of the Above" is the only option.

I've played four of the games listed, my vote is for Runaway 2 but barely. Sam & Max Season I was close and I had to dwell on it. I also played Reprobates/Next Life and Destination: Treasure Island, both of which I enjoyed somewhat less but still found them very fun.

It's not all, there were a good number that couldn't be added because of poll limitations. Anyway, the good news is that 2008 looks set to be a very good year for adventure games.

Only game I played from above was Destination:Treasure Island.
And I liked it very much. So I voted for this.

There are at least three very good adventure games for PC from 2007. A good adventuregame year.
Culpa Innata, Portal and Blackwell Unbound of which two are not included on the list. |

Games that were released in 2006 in some countries are not allowed to be voted by those even if they only released in some regions in 2007, like my entry or Paradise. When Jack Keane and Sinking Island comes out in the UK presumably I won't be able to choose that for the 2008 pole? Then there's Sam & Max where a good preportion was in 2006, and technically it's not a game but a series. So what do we define as a game that's released in 2007? |

Didn't Lost Crown get delayed -- not to be released until 2008? So shouldn't it should be on next year's poll?
That's a good question, since I'm behind on my playing and most of the games I've played would be last year's games or older. If I go by the Pagoda Games list for 2007 http://www.pagodagamedatabase.com/year.php?year=2007 I've only played Anacapri Ankh 2: Heart of Osiris (not bad, but too many minor bugs) Aura 2: The Sacred Rings (fussy, underclued puzzles) Destination: Treasure Island Nancy Drew: White Wolf of Icicle Creek (terrible! -- too many useless daily chores, ran into a bug that held me up a while, and I don't recall being asked if I wanted "Nancy Drew Central" installed on my computer) RHEM 3 and I'm currently playing Agatha Christie: Evil Under the Sun (and enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would) I don't know that any of the above would qualify as a "Game of the Year." I enjoyed Anacapri more for the pictures than the game. RHEM 3 was a good game if you're in it for the puzzles rather than the story, the characters, or the eye candy. Evil Under the Sun is enjoyable so far, though I'm not finished with it and my opinion may change. I guess my choice would be between those three though. |

None of the above.
Pretty bad year for adventure games I would say. Sam and Max and Culpa are the only decent ish games (and possibly PW3) the rest was painfully mundane.

The Lost Crown has not been released at all. It's now going for Q1 2008.
@Terrmax: for Sam & Max, they released a box set of all the episodes in 2007, so I believe other sites are counting that release as a 2007 game (even though some of the episodes were released in 2006). And yeah, it gets a little funky when the game is out in Europe in 2007 but doesn't hit the N. American market (or the UK) until 2008. This poll is just for fun, so vote for what you've played I guess. Edit: I took Lost Crown off the list (it didn't have any votes - it couldn't have, no one has played it ). I would also say the work involved with trying to figure out what games to put on a list for voting is a good reason why AG hasn't done this officially. |

Phoenix Wright: T&T was definitely the game I most enjoyed playing all year, and the best so far in the series. Of the others in that list, I've played CSI, Sam and Max and Runaway 2. I've really been enjoying Evil Under the Sun over the last couple of days, why isn't it on the list?

Well, this isn't an official poll (and the original poster forgot it). I could add it, but a lot of people have voted already. That's why polls like this are difficult, it's easy to forget some games (and they can only add so many to the poll).

Jack Keane looks really good, but I doubt I'll be playing it for a while.
