Adventures with humor
I'm looking for new (old too) adventuregames where humor is one of the main keys in the game
style: monkeys islands, grim fandango, full throttle, sam&max, dott, toonstruck, ufos(this one isnt very wellknown I guess), discworlds... I prefer 2d comic drawings, but 3d is okay too any other suggestions? thx! -fender-

Lessee here...
Duckman: The Legend of the Fall Leisure Suit Larry The Neverhood (though it's less of a verbal kind of humour, and more of a visual one) Bud Tucker in Double Trouble If you're willing to play some amateur titles, I also recommend Cirque de Zale and the Nick Bounty games. And if you have a DS, play the Phoenix Wright games.

Al Emmo, Duckman and the Neverhood... yeah!
And... Touche: The Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer (1996) Stupid Invaders (2000) - one of those games you either love or hate The Space Bar (1997) - a favorite of mine Tony Tough and the Night of Roasted Moths (2002) and last but never least: Zork Grand Inquisitor! (1997) |

I hate that kind of AD. I prefer something humorless.

Torin's Passage is fairly funny.. sometimes. It was made for children but it was also created by Al Lowe so there's some humor in there for adults, too.
And this isn't an AG but you should check out Psychonauts. Very funny game and it's made by Tim Schafer (DoTT, MI, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle). |

3 Skulls of the Toltecs (if you can find it). Great one.
The Gene Machine. The Kyrandia trilogy (not pure humor, but at least as humorous as Runaway, which I like). Flight of the Amazon Queen The Simon the Sorcerer trilogy. |

Eric the Unready and Callahans Crosstime Saloon by Legend are full of excellent humor.

right,I heard that game was awesome, unfortunately when I`m playing I found the mouse slides too slow to control the movement ,maybe this game -so at least it seems to me-perfers the old system rathan than WindowXP.

Here are my ratings of all the humorous adventure games I have played on a scale of one to four stars:
Monkey Island **** Lechuck's Revenge **** Curse of Monkey Island **** Day of the Tentacle **** Space Quest 5 **** Runaway *** 1/2 Runaway 2 (no rating - still playing) 3 Skulls of the Toltecs *** 1/2 Wanted (never finished it) Gene Machine *** 1/2 Space Quest 6 *** 1/2 Space Quest 2 *** 1/2 Flight of the Amazon Queen *** Zac MacKraken *** Full Throttle *** Space Quest 1 *** Space Quest 3 *** Space Quest 4 *** Legend of Kyrandia *** The Hand of Fate *** Escape from Monkey Island *** Maniac Mansion *** Sam and Max Hit the Road ** 1/2 Alien Incident ** 1/2 Willy Beamish ** 1/2 Bargon Attack ** Malcomn's Revenge ** Rex Nebular ** Freddy Pharkas ** Mystery on Lost Island ** Woodruff and Scnibble * 1/2 Others on my list of humorous adventure I have yet to finish : Toonstruck UFO (actually started this one but have never finished it) Innocent Until Caught Guilty Simon the Sorcerer 1-3 Touche (started this one and thought it was pretty good, but never finished for some reason) Diskworld 1-2 Tony Tough (well, I liked the humor but it was too much of just wandering around and talking to people with endless conversations. Never finished it). Grim Fandango (never finished it). Chewy F5 Beverly Hillbillies Eye of the Kraken |

I dont get it, what does Grim Fandango have to do with Ankh Morepork (Discworld Noir), sure both Grim Fandango and Discworld Noir are in the Noir genre but I wouldn't call Discworld Noir a humoures game.

Thx for all the good suggestions!
@ vina: I have myself a copy (no, not a COPY) of torins passage, and I do like it indeed (allthought its aimed at children) I also have psychonauts on my ps2, but I should restart playing it (didnt finished it, but I'm a big Tim Schafer fan (arent we all)) @ squinky: Yes, Phoenix Wright is indeed one of the best games made ever, finished them both Gonna try some amateur titles now thx again -fender-

Runaway isn't even slightly funny, it just tries to be but fails miserably.
