Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Thu 25th January 2007
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. J. Saint Gideon. Again. But it's the original version this time. I actually played that one after Overseer, and must say I was struck by the differences of tone between the two games, while keeping essentially the same plot. Overseer feels much more serious, and complex in terms of characterisation, than the original game. Still, I think it's worth playing both, if only to see where the red herrings in the remake originally led... as well as how feminists gained influence in the computer gaming world in the mean time (cf. Steve Clements becoming Eve Clements, Cal Davis > Val Davis, etc.).
