I wander if anyone can shed some light on this upcoming DS game Lifesigns.

I know the game mostly involves doing operations, but some of the screenshots look kind of similar to the investigations sections in Phoenix Wright. Does anyone know if the game actually does contain adventure sections?

Japan gets a ton of these adventure games (although a vast majority of those are interactive novels I think) but 99% of them probably won't see release in the English speaking market.

I don't know, I think I read something about a possible English release, but I can't find anything, so I guess it might just have been my imagination.

I should also qualify that 99% number as not being scientific in any way. It would be better to say a vast majority of those games don't get an English release. If you can find the info about it getting one, I'd love to see it (because the game looks cool).

DS certainly seems to be getting a lot of adventure games and games that seem like adventure games.

The best thing is that most of these games are great!

I wouldn't count on it. That's a pretty standard way for Japanese games to present conversations, regardless of genre. Trauma Center's dialog scenes look pretty similar, and that game had no adventure elements.

I'm not saying this game doesn't, I'm just saying that "looks like Phoenix Wright" isn't much of an indicator.

Time Horrow

The directer of this "Time horrow" is Junko Kono; the producer of Shadow of Destiny, so I'm very looking forword to this game, but I still don't know whether Konami planning to make English version. If you find news about English version please tell me !

Ohh that one looks awesome. Some almost FF graphics on that one, looks like we could have a 3D interactive scene crawler on our hands.. If it ever comes out in english.

That other game looks cool too, by the way. Nice art and all... The only thing that's bothering me is how the character seems to be running in every shot, looks a bit unnatural, and is making me tired just of watching.

What the hey? There's a third Layton game coming to Japan, and the first one still isn't out yet here. What is this, Phoenix Wright? :p

Suda 51 is releasing alot of his adventure titles on the DS. The latest one is Flower, Sun, and Rain. Not sure if it's going to come out outside of Japan, but since his other DS release is possibly getting localized (The Silver Case) we might be seeing it on our shores.

I wish the English version of layton would released soon, too.
But,some of layton's riddles are highly depend on Japanese language, so I think the translation of this game is not easy.

The first Professor Layton game has a N. American release date of Feb. 18, 2008 now (the Europe date still stands at Feb. 15).
