I remember when this first came out I desperately wanted it but it wouldn'trun on my computer due to conventional memory clashes.
I hated how that was a big problem when trying to play adventure games in the mid-90's.

But have thankfully played it through now and really enjoyed it, in its mock indiana jones style.

The game I really remember hitting my system hard was King's Quest VII. Of course, I was very young back then, so who knows what other games my Dada upgraded our comp for, since I probably don't remember.

I didn't like this game. The story felt like in a bad B-movie.
It's abysmal compared to BASS (same developers).

It's not the same developers at all, actually.

And while I agree the story was awful (and the writing cheesy, though that was probably on purpose), I thought quite a few sections were fun to play (especially the part in the temple).

It's Flight of the Amazonian Queen? I have downloaded it legal but haven't got it to work on my computer yet.

I vaguely remember that one, but it escaped my radar at the time.

Nope. It isn't. FOTAQ was developed by Interactive Binary Illusions, not Revolution Software.

You can really tell too. It had a little more goofiness than the others Revolution games.

Man. I played the demo on the Amiga but never heard anything else about the game. I assumed it had died along with lots of promising upcoming games (this being around the time Commodore ate itself and lots of developers jumped ship) and thought no more of it.

Fast forward several years until I heard from a (usually) reliable source that it had been released on the Amiga after all, and was in fact one of the best adventure games ever. I 'acquired' it and played it through WinUAE, and... er, yeah. Enjoyed it, but it's not exactly up there. :~

Don't see how "it's like a B-movie!" can be a valid complaint, though. That's like complaining that Borat is naive...

But man, I'm glad I was spared the voices. I started up the ScummVM edition once and nearly torched my computer. They're that bad.
