Default New Ankh

The new "Ankh" game doesn't have an English website, but on a German one a demo is available. Can there be the same language trick applied that turned the German into English or French in the first game? And does the absense of an English site mean it won't be out in English at all?

I can't answer your first question, but there are definite plans to release the new game in English. Just a matter of finishing localization now.

As for your demo question, no, the trick doesn't work successfully this time.

Did they change the control scheme?

That right clicking method did my head in.

"New" Ankh in english?

I live in Canada and bought the english version over 2 or 3 months ago and have since completed the game.... It was released under Viva Media.

Is there something I'm missing here?

They're talking about this (stand-alone) expansion / pseudo-sequel, I believe;

Ankh: Heart of Osiris

Do any of you guys know whether Heart of Osiris will be a standalone game without the necessity to have the originial or will have to own the original in order to play the "expansion"?

No one has an answer for this question? I need to know whether to sell the game or just store it.

Yes, yes, I read that. However, I wasn't sure about their definition of standalone: whether the plot was seperate or the actual game was a seperate purchase.

It's a new story and the actual game is a separate purchase.

Just a quick note for those interested: i had a mail from amazon (uk) that Ankh 2 (heart of osiris) is finally shipping.

By the way, Ankh 3 has already been announced for a quarter 3 2007 release in Germany.

So, what was the final "verdict" on the expansion matter, now that the game is out (including the English version)? Is it a sequel or an expansion? Cause I heard that the label (or volume) of the CD is Ankh2, is that right?

It's a brand new game, but the existing screens and characters are reused - along with some brand new ones.

Is it full-length too? And what about the label, is it really Ankh2?

It's about the same length as the first, and it's just titled Ankh: Heart of Osiris, but it's a direct continuation from the first game.

stand alone game that looks, plays and feels like the first. i got both. in germany youcan get the Ankh Gold edition where the case is a tiny pyramid. nothing spectacular but i thought it was a pretty nice way for a game box

So I guess it IS a sequel then.

But I'm really curious about the CD label (different than the game's name), especially of the English version.
To see it, all that has to be done is to insert the CD in the drive and open My Computer, and see what's written under the CD icon (a screenshot would be great as well ).
