There's some news from the developer on the project. Quote from centauri production official site:

Quote:
Release of our games on Steam and other digital distributions have been postponed a few days, because we wanted to make sure everything is working without any glitch. Currently, extensive testing of all titles is going on.

I really, really, really hope they hired someone outside to do the translation for the game.

Default Alternativa Impression (Videos)

Video clips for Alternativa in English have been released. I must say the game looks highly impressive. It now tops my hypometer.

The gameplay looks good but the voice acting sounds pretty poor. Definitely a game that interests me though.

Has been released on Steam today along with some other games by them:

Are there any reviews out yet? Can't find any on Google.

I'm very happy it's out. Looking forward to some reviews. Terrible timing for me though. Unfortunately it'll have to wait for a few weeks, but I do have Gray Matter planned for next weekend, so... I'm not entirely sad.

Decided that I can't wait any longer, and so I'm downloading it now. It weights 1840MB, which isn't much, but it doesn't mean anything. I'll post some thoughts later, after I played a bit.

Looking forward to hear your opinion olomaster

Does anyone know how long does "special launch price" last on Steam?

Don't know if this is what you meant but Alternativa will be 10% cheaper till November 12th. Which makes it a week. Ironically that's the Gray Matter release date

Damn, bad timing. Flames of Vengeance came out, Broken Sword Director's Cut seems to have had a price drop (Got it!) and GTA IV Complete was released a week ago.

Typical, but I'll get it as soon as I can!

I played it for like 20 minutes, and so far seems good. Backgrouds look great, the little voice acting that I heard sounded professional. The main character doesn't look as great as the backgrouds but nothing to complain really. The only thing that bothers me is very little hotspots, and so not much to explore. Unfortunately it's pretty common nowadays. The beginning of the story shows great potential, even if we did see some of it's motifs before.

But remember those are only first impressions.

Looking forward to reviews aswell. Not a bad price but a bit too much for me atm just go and buy it blindly. I wonder if these any of these adventure titles from this year will find their way in Christmas and New Year sales...

The graphics are quite slick -- the backgrounds reminds me of Dino Crisis 2 (but better). Although, the characters do animate like they're in a PSOne game, rotating on the spot and walking in funny angles.

Judging from that game-play video, the voice acting is rather poor and the English writing lacks elegance. For example, "It seems to be a complex document. There's a lot of data in it." and "This is a huge conspiracy that will eventually affect us all!".

That game-play video had credits at the end...if that was the ending of the game then I think I'll pass

So I bought the game, and was enjoying the first half hour or so of my playthrough and ran into a game breaking bug. Just a heads up to people who have decided to buy it. It was seriously about 30 minutes in. Picked up an item, and now I'm stuck in said location. This sucks, I was really intrigued by this...

Nevermind - it was an issue when running it windowed (ALT + Enter)...Weird

Sounds great. Downloading it right now. I'm really looking forward to play some sci-fi adventure again.
