I want to grab this at some point, because I really need to push myself to play horror games. I really want this and the future SH game. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to handle playing this one.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

So many trailers! I’m glad they seem to be giving a good marketing push but I stopped watching these trailers… Too many apoilers! I’m already convinced and pre-ordered (well, since the anouncement…)

I hope it has improved since the E3 demo, because everyone I heard who played it was seriously disapointed in the game. The controls were not good, it wasn’t scary and was frustrating to actually play.

So I hope they have fixed it.

EW got best game award(PS4) in Gamescom.

Its not noobified, game has got tankcontrols and hard to master(though there is Easy mode).

Its meant to be for oldschool fans like Souls games and i am glad one last final
shot in Survival horror is for fans who wanted what was missing for so long.

Check recent Adamsessler Web series of EW, where Mikami explains what it is.

Survivalhorror term is coined by Mikami himself, funny how people start using that for their own. It was meant to be distinctive , horror/scary intensity coming from scarce
ammo and item management, while someone hunts us around.

I have issues with load times and Framererate from E3 build and Gamewatch has confirmed it has been fixed atleast for PS4 ver.

Old vs New.

I think this can be either Dishonored or Wolfenstein in terms of response.

I have zero expectations as to what media would say and hardly care.

Finished first 3 chapters, there are issues with framerate and clipping in PS4.
I hope the aiming gets smoother after aiming upgrades, don’t start at Normal/survival its
too brutal.

Bethesda should get rid of IDtech5. I hope Tech6 is used for Dishonored 2 like Doom,
and hope its not crap. Tango definitely feels like they struggled with the engine.

Don’t expect anything remotely in favor of mainstream, in design , story and gameplay.

Edit:

Really liked boss fight and intense scenarios, though areas were inside and Frame rate was solid.

Mikami DNA is all around.

Gets the pace on from chapter5, and it became totally RE4 spiritual successor.

Boss fights are intense, and typical Mikami last man standing showdowns.
Framerate is smooth now, seems like they ran out of time to fix early chapters.

Story is B-Movie horror, just like oldschool.

Fun nonetheless.
