Leaks were right again

“We’re excited to bring L.A. Noire’s unique mix of real detective work, classic Hollywood atmosphere and thrilling action to these new platforms,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “Now with a choice of spectacular virtual reality, stunning 4K, or the freedom of portable play, these enhanced versions are a perfect opportunity for players to experience this richly detailed world in a whole new way.”

For VR

L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC Vive delivers seven of the original engrossing, self-contained cases from LA Noire rebuilt specifically for virtual reality, blending breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience.

For Switch

L.A. Noire for the Nintendo Switch features the complete original game and all additional downloadable content, with specific enhancements including a Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work.

Graphical uplift

L.A. Noire for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One delivers the complete original game and all additional downloadable content with a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity and authenticity, including enhanced lighting and clouds, new cinematic camera angles, high resolution textures and more. L.A. Noire plays natively in 1080p for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, and stunning 4K for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, capturing the grit and grime of the City of Angels like never before.

Glad they are remastering it. Although the game is already good looking, it would benefit from a performance boost, especially on the PC where it is capped at 30 FPS. I usually don’t mind 30 FPS on consoles (because they use some tricks and blur to mask the choppiness) or on more static PC games like third person point and clicks, but for 3D open world games, it is very noticeable.

Not the Rockstar game the Switch owners wanted…

What you got in mind?
Switch ver also seem to be missing upgraded textures and 4k support, so it will be 360 ver at best or low anyway

I also think WhoreoftheOrient guy is pushing to rel remasters and might be funding them to recoup some money through royalties
RDR i heard had tech issues with heavy costs to justify remaster

Rockstar’s Table Tennis! Smile

GTA 5 or RDR but even better would be a new game named Manhunt 3 or Bully 2!

Only one of them, would more chence of success than LA Noire, (but preferably Manhunt or bully sequel).

Manhunt wont work on kids centric console, Ninty cant even sell other third party M rated games ( Bayo to Madworld to SR ) all tanked

Sequels of R* games on switch would be a waste anyway since it should look current gen not last gen
Not to mention R* still needs to test waters if its IP can even sell on Switch

LAnoire sold more than both Manhunt combined and adventure nature will do better than violent sim

Thats why called it a stretch, plus R* has hands full, Agent is still uncancelled
Bully2 rumors getting more hot
RDR2 in works

Manhunt is not even in list

Test waters would releasing GTA5, what will releasing LA Noire say? A 6 year old port of game that has nothing to do with the rest of Rockstar’s portfolio.
At least Bethesda is releasing Skyrim, so when that bombs nobody can at least say they didn’t try Smile

You should take motion sensing Switch new controls gimmick
Low cost, its not technical masterpiece like RDR or GTA5
And Adventure elements for casul crowd into consideration

GTA5 and RDR are tech beast to port over
And Online being core part doesnt bode well for Switch/Nintendo online structure
Also last GTA chinatown tanked on Nintendo console

A 6 year old port of game that has nothing to do with the rest of Rockstar’s portfolio

As i said it sold more than Manhunt even more than maxpayne3, it has all the elements of R* trademark style, its more R* than Bully
Dont know what element you didnt find as R*

But yes i would be more happy with Manhunt3 on Ps4 than GTA6

Reminded how simplistic vehicle driving&brawl; physics was, gameplay wise remastering only visuals wont make any difference.

Game will be 10$ extra on switch physical edition
Nintendo stuck in N64 era cart zone

Its not a remake but remaster
There is first person mode addition like GTA5 remaster

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-11-09-la-noire-remaster-changes-its-infamous-interrogation-scene-button-prompts

They changed the prompts in the interrogations from Trust/Lie/Doubt to Good Cop/Bad Cop/Accuse

Checked some streams, have to get it again now sooner than later
Aged really well and upgraded textures are great
Old America was best America
Writing is really good as the man was also responsible for Getaway series on PS2
I wish he stayed with R* and had made NYNoire set in 80s
