Hmmm, let’s see:

Bioware
Telltale
Naughty Dog

There are many more of course, I just listed those because they release games fairly regularly.

Square Enix

I haven’t played any newer Square Enix games but I loved a few of the older ones, like Star Ocean, Kingdom Hearts and a couple Final Fantasy games. I’m dying for Kingdom Hearts 3.

Valve

Valve was one of the greatest before Gabe Newell turned into a billionaire and forgot to count to three.

I think my favorite current devs would be:
Cyan Worlds
Wadjet Eye Games
Double Fine

In the past it would have been:
LucasArts
Cyan Worlds
Sierra

Of course there many other great devs, but ya can’t list’em all.

Let’s get some hipster cred going:

Team Ico
Spike Chunsoft
Terry Cavanagh

In reality, the all-greatest in my mind were:

Nintendo
Sierra On-Line
Rockstar

Well my top 2 at the moment are Bethesda (for TES and Fallout) and Bioware (basically loved most of their games since Baldur’s Gate). I guess third is Crystal Dynamics. Love what they’ve done with Tomb Raider since Legend. And 2K is probably fourth.

In the past I would have included something like Valve or Rockstar North, but neither of them really care about gamers anymore. All I play from Rockstar is GTA, but I couldn’t care less about all that Online stuff which is all Rockstar cares about. Still really looking forward to GTA6 and I know it’s gonna be amazing (unless it’s all about online ofc), but wish they gave us more SP content for V like they did with IV.

Ubi is another one I loved, but haven’t really played anything from them in ages other than Watch Dogs 2. Don’t care about anything else they released over the last few years like AssCreed or Division etc. Really want another Splinter Cell or even Prince of Persia.

Other past favourites include LucasArts, Sierra, Revolution and Monolith (mainly for NOLF and FEAR)

A few smaller studios I would love to see more of in the future like Dontnod or Moon Studios for example.
