So what happened to Windows 9?

Windows 9: The Missing Floppies ???

It’s been claimed that some programs have a single check for if you’re running Windows 95 or Windows 98 - that single check being ‘Windows 9’, so they skipped it.

I like to believe that’s the reason anyway, just for the hilarity of it.

Not very likely - In fact the number you get from pulling the OS version through the Windows API on W95, W98 and ME is 4 and not 9, can there be some weird programs that does it in some other unauthorized way? Probably, but when did Microsoft start to care about that?

Hyperbole article! “I’ve seen the future”; “just like the movies” (again) , lol

Until we start seeing all these technology (Oculus; Morpheus) revolutions actually ready for public I can’t take these articles serious anymore.

Nintendo having some profit due to their monster franchises and dedicated fanbase. Amiibo toys also selling a lot.

It’s interesting how they can somewhat compete but with absolutely Zero third-party support.

Imagine where they could be if they put aside their ideas of “innovation” and made a good controller with a console that supported modern engines etc.

Added product lineup or expansion in the form of Amibos, control over operating costs with outdated hardware against PS4/XB1, and first party hit games that channels money directly into their pockets = WIN!

Yeah I also mentioned this game in the horror games thread. It looks awesome. I actually got to play a little bit of it on the XBOX One at the last E3, and it is creepy.

Hoping it’s not another Uncharted… but it will probably be another Uncharted…

Another news I read. GTA V sold 45 million! Incredible

So is there hope that this will come to the PS4 someday? or is it an XBox One exclusive for good? The last time the Microsoft exec said something to the extent that they are helping publish it?
