One of the Kyrandias maybe?

The Legend of Kyrandia games are horrible - poor story, uninteresting puzzles, lot of traipsing around, bland/lousy characters, bugs & glitches (in Kyrandia 1 you go through a maze and if you don’t do something before you get out of there you’re doomed to replay a HUGE part of the game, and that’s not all).
I never figured out what those games really were about.
I didn’t play the third one, mind you, maybe it’s less horrible.

Oscar - 17 January 2013 04:10 AM

I get the impression not many around here have played them.

And rightfully so.

What Zobraks said. I have the Kyrandia Collection, tried all three of them, hated all three of them. Unfinished and I will never go back.

Sefir, Dreamfall may be easier than the Space Bar (and that’s goooood!), but difficulty is just one aspect. There would be lots to discuss.

Spycraft! YES! I’ve been thinking about replaying it. Such a unique game with unique puzzles. I’d be somewhat interested in Myst 4 too. Phantasmagoria, no.

Seriously? Perhaps Sierra’s worst!!
I have never played Spycraft though and I know where I can find a copy…

LOL @ Phantasmagoria responses. Has AG ever done a “bad game” playthrough? Might be amusing in a Mystery Science Theater 3000 type way.

I didn’t plan to take part in the playthrough, but if you guys do Spycraft (featuring Fien), and if I can install it on my laptop, I just may join you (I hope Ozzie Open will be over by the time the playthrough starts).

No featuring Fien, no way.

I didn’t mean as the game mistress necessarily, taking part as a player will do (although I know you’ll overshadow who(m?)ever gets to be the game master, I never saw anyone here delighted with Spycraft as much as you are).

Hey, you forgot to say that the game is extremely short, as well.

Yum  Grin

Kyrandia games (I’ve finished the second one, started first one and third one) are not the best games out there, but they’re far from horrible.

Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale

Nonsense. Hand of Fate especially is very good. I would agree with you on Kyrandia 1 however, it’s a poor game.

Bleh, Spycraft. What an uninteresting and boring game. I can’t believe it made the Top 100.

Don’t blame me. No editing (old posts) there.

Yeah, they’re closer to terrible.

I haven’t played it, but all the games Fien had said were good turned out to be (at least) good for me.

Cool Gasp

All of them…?

Oscar, I’m disappointed. I actually thought you and I had more or less the same taste in adventures. To be honest, I can see why people wouldn’t like Spycraft. No real exploration, just puzzles, detective work and FMV cut scenes. Perhaps not suitable for a community playthrough.

I don’t like the Carol Reed games though. Played one and that was quite enough.

Yeah, I liked The Space Bar too (although I’m not going to finish it any time soon).

It’s your loss.

We just found a shapeshifting murderer for God’s sake…

The truth is that perhaps those who played TSB (Fien excepted Tongue), could be a little bit tired to have another investigation game like Spycraft (or a Tex game. Or a Sherlock Holmes game)...
We just found a shapeshifting murderer for God’s shake…

I wouldn’t mind a game with investigation in the style of The Lost Crown however…
